This is amazing, a great look into a Xander whose had his being stripped and remodeled but still made of the same, trustworthy foundation.

I'm sorry this seems to be abandoned, as it is one of the few Anita-crosses I actually liked. Thanks for sharing what you did!

This was an interesting story. In fact it was only the third Anita Blake story I've ever read, which by coincidence are both on this site, another Xander story and a Harry Potter one.

Shame you never finished it, it would have been fun to see whether or not Xander wound up doing something to Jean Claude or Asher.

I have been reading fan fiction for about 10 years -- my how time flies -- but only discovered TtHM about 4 years ago -- I think this story was one of the first ones I read, but only the first few chapters. I had never heard of Anita Blake before then so I kept getting lost with the characters. I have since discovered that I really like the BtVS-Anita Blake x-overs, especially with Xander. I still don't know much about the Anita Blake verse -- not even where it comes from -- I've only ever seen the characters in these x-overs so they are all most likely OOC.

I started reading this because it was Xander-centered, but to be honest Xander is so OOC in this I can barely recognize him. I realize he is different -- older, magically changed and in a different dimension on his own -- that would change anyone's character. I mainly continued to read because it is well written. I have to admit that you lost me on some of the mysticism and all of Xander' theories -- there might be a little too much going on that I won't catch since I don't know about all the "politics" with the different shifter clans, not to mention the different Vampire Clans.

I love the Copter character -- love that he is so loyal to Xander -- love how they connected -- that Xander has at least one true friend among all the people who either want to use him or kill him.

I would really love to read more and hope you continue this very soon.

Came across this unfinished story through recommendation on the home page. People still admire and want the story finished. Me too.

Characters are well written. Plot is enjoyable.

I realize that this story has ended here for a very long time but it's such a wonderful one that I keep on hoping to see more. And I come back every year or so to re-read it and enjoy what is here. I live in hope. And I really want to see Xander at the police station and Anita and Xander discussing the hellmouth. Mmm. Anyway, it really is a fabulous story.
