I have just reread the story and it was just as good as the last time I read it.

Oh, I didn't remember reading that! I also didn't know it was Red Raider-related, which explains why I didn't really know it. So I believe it starts btween June and September after Tonks, Just Tonks, or something like that, right? So that would make Hermione 25 or 26, with Dawn being about to turn 20 and acting as Perci's Watcher. And Hermione has already discovered (well, in THIS story, but not yet in the others) that her sister is a Slayer, which explains why she is so uncomfortable around magic. I'm guessing that that knowledge should help both of them in resolving their personnal issues, am I right? But now comes the worse part. Convincing their parents that Perci needs training. I mean, I know Slayers now have a choice, but they're still targets, and even if they don't play an active role, they still should learn to defend themselves.

This story occurs after the entire 'Red Raider' series finishes (which is taking me a lot longer to write than I ever expected -- I haven't even started on the last story in the series yet -- all I have right now is an outline). Think of it as the first part of a second series of stories set in that universe.
Some of what you're thinking won't occur for a while in this story. Hermione won't know her sister is a slayer for a while yet. In fact, Perci herself doesn't know what has happened and won't for a little while longer.
So for now... we're talking a lot of surprises for the characters involved. The problems with slayers and wizarding magic is a theme in the entire series. Some times it's blatantly addressed - like in 'Tonks' - and other times it's a subtle thing.
I hope your muse wanders back over this story's way, some time soon. I want to learn more about Perci. I'm wondering if her apparation headaches have anything to do with the headache Tonks got when she accidentally apparated her way to Cleveland.

I'm not really sure when I'll get back to this...
The issue of how "slayer magic" interacts with "wizarding magic"... will be addressed in other stories in this series. (The real question is how fast it is revealed... ). If it helps... in the 'Red Raider' crossover story multiverse - the power/magic that "makes" slayers and wizarding magic don't mix very well (in the same person).

I really like the set up here, whether you decide to work it into your existing fics or not. I like Perci's attitude, and I can't wait to see if she embraces her slayer-ness, or if she rebels against one more thing that is expected of her. Looking forward to more.
You've got to alter this one so it fits your Red Raider universe. You've got too good a character and setup here to not be part of the big picture. (BTW: Don't mess with the old stuff, never mess with the old stuff.)

I really don't think it needs a lot of changes, the only problem is the time discrepancy. One answer might be to change this prologue a little, forget about tying the change closely to the destruction of Sunnydale, and assume that after the initial creation of all the new Slayers it's gone back to being a power that goes to a new person whenever a Slayer dies.

Hmmm. I really haven't dealt with the issue of what happens with 'the slayer line' (as some call it) after Willow's spell in my Red Raider series. So that is wide open at this point.
Fitting it into my other series has one main problem - I specifically mention that Hermione doesn't have a sister (in "Girl in a Bar") but since Hermione is mostly a background character I can change that without changing the plot/direction of the series.
Another problem is Dawn related. She plays a key role (pun not intended) in the conclusion to the Red Raider series and this might interfere with that if I'm not careful. So this story would have to occur after that one ends, which will be a long time from now. We'll see.
