Short is really really hard to do. The explanation is a bit rough, and while the end is nice its kinda hard to believe that after being imprisoned that Spike would limit himself to something so innocuous - even in public. And still harder to believe they couldn't have gotten out themselves or with help from friends or minions.

I think this is an idea that would need a longer story in order to satisfactorily explore the potential issues.
