Truely a wonderful rendition. But . . . unless Elmer was undergoing some serious hormone therapy, he really doesn't qualify to be a slayer. Is that why he was arrested in the end? The suspension of reality just wasn't enough to cover his carrying of a crossbow? =] Whatever the case, I laughed out loud over this. Very funny. Thank you (and your Saturday-morning-cartoon twisted muse, too) for the joy.

No, but Elmer could certainly think he is the Slayer. He's wrong, but Elmer's wrong about everything. The vamps were just cartoonishly dumb. The officer was just a deus ex machina. Of course, how often does Elmer win anyway? I can think of only 3 WB cartoons where he defeats Bugs: Hare Brush, Wabbit Wampage, and What's Opera, Doc.
Joss wanted to do an animated BtVS series. I wished that Chuck Jones would have been alive to draw it.

Too funny! You did an excellent job writing cartoon style. I could really see the Bugs and Elmer in my head.... I just can't help but wonder, did you fall asleep with the Cartoon Network on or something, to come up with that?

We were discussing "The Harsh Light of Day" on USENET, and Victoria suggested that Xander should have looted the cave, acting like Daffy Duck in "Ali Baba Bunny". I said I would write "Fuddy" in her honor. I then spent a month getting every possible WB cartoon joke in. I wasn't able to fit a "Vampire Season" "Werewolf Season" "Vampire Season" "Slayer Season" sequence into the story though. It was just watching too many Saturday morning cartoons as a kid, I guess.
