What a great short story this is! Your attention to details from both 'verses was quite nice: I love how you described Zebrowski as dressing carefully. What a hoot! The style you chose to write this in this worked wonderfully, showing a great depth of emotion, with a very powerful ending.
I can't remember how I found this story. I think it came up on a list after I submitted a review. Reading the story put everything right out of my mind.
I generally prefer long fics - the more detail the better - but this was just amazing. Well written with great mechanics - sharp and concise. It ended with sadness, but with satisfaction. I didn't feel as though anything had been forgotten. Great job.

I know this is a fairly old story, but I just came across it an think its one of the best Anita/Buffy crosses on this site.

Thanks! This was my very first fanfic in the Anita Blake universe. I've always had a soft spot for Zerbrowski, his character has so many possibilities.

Tightly written, sparing in details, but summing up the terrifying anguish of watching a child die. Your Zerbrowski is I think stronger than he knows. Of course, the love of a good woman does make a big difference. Most men would have kept climbing into a bottle until they died. I can't really think of a superlative good enough for this. A haunting, superb story.

I now officially have the Zebrowsky love. Seemed to have missed this, but as I'm following the sequelish to this I'm delighted to have found it. Fascinating background you've given him- a history that works for both BtVS and AB, and fits with his character well. Quite a talent, and I'm enjoying this vein of story immensely.
This was a really well written story. Excellent focus on a good character. Zebrowski is one of my favorite characters in the AB universe. The backstory you created for him was great and nicely blended with BtVS.
