Tara as an Immortal has definite potential on its own- particularly your idea that the fact that she’s still alive is why the First couldn’t imitate her, although I would have thought that the time she spent before reviving might have helped to account for that-, and her getting ‘trained’- however unwillingly- by Methos himself.

Interesting touch with Methos aware of vampires even if he’s not encountered them for millennia, but I do feel that the Scoobies’ automatic acceptance of Tara’s presence as real let things down a bit; it would have just seemed more realistic to me if at least ONE of them (Although Angel and Spike could be exempt as they would probably hear her heartbeat due to their enhanced senses) had assumed that she was the First returned to haunt them before she made physical contact with them and they realised that she was solid and therefore NOT the aforementioned entity...

Still, your ideas about Arturo/the Immortal and his control of magic were an interesting touch- a bit hazy on why Immortals have trouble with it, but from what I could understand it’s something to do with them being technically dead, right?-, and with Tara having taken a Dark Quickening in the run-up to the Apocalypse, I REALLY look forward to seeing what’s going to happen next (Assuming you decide to continue, of course)...

Your glimpse into what REALLY stayed Cassandra's hand when she would've killed Methos back at the end of the Four Horsemen two-parter made a lot more sense than thinking she'd foregone her revenge/justice only for the sake of Duncan's feelings. Duncan's melting brown eyes are powerful, but they're not THAT powerful -- at least, not when weighed against several millennia worth of nightmares.

Nice work, all around, and I can't wait for the next update . . . as usual!

*Nods* Cassandra letting Methos live, just because Duncan said 'pretty please', never rang true for me, either!
