I ran across this saved in my favorites and just finished reading it again, even though it has been a long time since the last update I am still hoping that this will be finished.

Glad you enjoyed the story, so far. My muse seems to be blocked on this one, at present, but I'm hoping that clears up soon.

I really enjoyed reading this story. The interactions between the characters is great. I also like how you've integrated the Highlander series. It's an interesting cross.
It looks like things are ready to explode into a kind of open warfare. The added crossover into the comicverse can't have made things any easier to continue this story.
I do hope that it isn't dead though. If your muse has any more interest in this story, I hope it's enough to get another chapter. :) I'm probably going to have to watch for any new work from you as well. I've noticed that I like a lot of the work you've published here. Thanks for sharing your creativity.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
Unfortunately, my muse has been ignoring this story, too, along with several of my other older stories, and I'd love t be able to get more done on this, since I know where I'm going with it.
And as far as I'm concerned, the so-called 'Season Eight' comic series doesn't exist, especially in this particular universe. ;-)

Just went back and reread this today, plus the chapter I hadn't. It is perhaps a little super-powered, but then, who doesn't want to fix things up every now and then? Here's a nudge for the muse, anyway.

Thanks for the favorable comment, and I'll pass the request along to my muse. ;-)

Such a shame for a good story to die. Or...is there hope of a ressurrection? Almost no one ever covers the actual take down of the council. You can buck the trend.☺
Comments from author:
My muse only indicates interest in this sporadically, unfortunately, so while it's not definitely dead, it is on life support at the moment. ;-(
Hopefully, that will change in the future.

I have read this story about a million times, and have pouted more than it's worth when I get to the end, and it's not updated! Anyway, this more than a review than just this story, but your writing as well. I love the fact that even though most of your stories are Xander centered that I get an overwhelming feeling of that the Scoobs are family. And I like that alot. And for some stories seem to miss that entirely. Also you seem to make your crossovers seem seamless, and I always found that was a good sign of fantastic crossover writer. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see more of your writing in the near future.
Thanks, Adrianne B.

Y'know, the way you've written the first few chapters makes me wonder whether the quickening might have been INTENDED to be shared, resulting in immortal, non-sterile soul-mates rather than immortal, sterile, nutcases.
Anyway, as for the story quality, I like it quite a lot, but chapter 10 is really shoddy work. You just can't make several pages worth of changes to a source story and then get away with only mentioning them in summary. It shatters the suspension of disbelief... especially when, apparently, most of them are unnecessary to the story and could just be left out.
However, aside from that, the story is great and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next.

Thanks for reviewing and I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
All I can say about your idea about the Quickening is that it's an interesting divergence on the generally accepted view. ;-)
