THis is pure insanity. There is no logical sensible reason that Buffy would do something like this

Thanks, I think I may be an angst addict or something because something angsty always manages to slip into my writing. I hadn't intended this to be a very serious fic but you can see how well that's going for me. lol

A laugh-out-loud story - for all the right reasons

This is a very interesting approach. I'm looking forward to where you take it. So many possibilities. I'm wondering how Buffy managed to swing this little "internship" for Dawn but not knowing certainly doesn't ruin the story. Are you going to take use down commonly trod Dawn-fic paths (HP, LotR, SG1, X-Men, Anita Blake, etc) or are you going to go off the beaten path (Joan of Arcadia, Forever Knight, Star Trek-TOS, Dr. Who, etc.).

Well, there will be some visits down the commonly trod paths as you call them. I'm pretty familiar with all of those fandoms. I'm not too familiar with the others you mentioned. I've not seen any of the Original Star Trek episodes but I have watched many eps of The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine so I'll see what I can come up with there. I'd love to do some unusual crossovers since they're so much fun to write.

About how Buffy managed to swing the internship I have it in my head that she met a Balance Demon when they were called in to undo a wish. They ended up working together and after that Buffy stayed in touch. I'll go into more detail in later chapters about that, so there will be a lengthier explanation eventually.
