Emile Antoon Khadaji and John Sheridan both in the same universe...NICE. The "Man who Never Missed" and the savior of Babylon 4, and 5 both.
But as the other reviews have stated, it's a shame to leave it all at this point. Okay, Elmer. We need Muse bait...Scratch that, boys. Elmer never could catch a bunny.
Comments from author:
I'm hoping that my muse's interest has been tweaked by your flattery, so I'm going to sit back for a little while and see what, if anything, happens.
Thanks for the good words. ;-)

This is the sixth time I have read this story. I can see Spike as evil, especially if the First got to him before he got his soul. It would be such a shame to leave this story like this. Is it possible, that in the future, it might be updated?
Comments from author:
I'm certainly hoping so, but it seems like my muse has gone walkabout, since I haven't been able to get anything written down for a while now. ;-(
Hopefully, that will change soon.

*sigh* I know I shouldn't, I know it's sick, but I do love Spike. *shakes head*
HOWEVER, this is the first time I've read a story where Spike was secretly evil all along and I LOVE this idea. You are an evil genius haha.
Comments from author:
Thanks. I appreciate hearing your comments, Luna.
And for the last two seasons, I can't see Spike as being a good guy at all. In Season Sux, he was at best a non-bad guy, but in Season Sux Part Deux, the only person he really helped in any way was Buffy, and even then, he served more as a disruption to Buffy's usual support system.
I like, but you didn't give Emile any screen time (or Saval, Sleel, Geneva, Diresha ... you get the idea!). Given events in The Albino Knife, I have to say you exaggerated his capabilities a little but its cool.
(In response)
True, but Emile on a tab of reflex at the height of the "Shamba" rebellion and Emile during the aftermath of the war (say, in the aforementioned Albino Knife) are two separate creatures. His instruction however, is certainly guaranteed to improve any soldier.
Something I may bring up in the forums is the oft made accusation that Giles did not give any of the scoobies training. I think some extrapolation of events may show that this is not true. Consider that Xander wore the "muggerman" suit on at least one occasion for Buffy in Season three (I think) and he and Anya are the ones giving basic slaying instruction to the potentials in Season 7.
Comments from author:
Thanks for reviewing, and glad you're enjoying the story.
Adding in Emile was just to provide an explanation for Xander getting the training he'd been lacking for most of the series, and I think that there was only the most minimal exaggeration of Emile's talents, if there was any exaggeration at all.
Emile could be VERY SCARY when he was totally focused on accomplishing his objectives.

Sometimes hitting Random Fic can be a very good thing. :D
I don't know how I've managed to NOT find this story before. The "Dahak" series is one of my favorites to come from David Weber and I think you've done a great job of integrating it with Buffy.
I really hope you decide to continue with the story and finish it at some point. The thought of the Scoobies showing up on their Earth with Imperial tech is quite amusing. I'd love to see the reaction of Spike and the First at their first introduction to a warp rifle.
Comments from author:
Glad you're enjoying the story, and all I can say at the moment is that Spike isn't going to be fortunate enough to see any type of warp weapon.
The Scooby Pack's plans for him and other collaborators are going to be *much* more painful. ;-)

I can't believe I've never reviewed this - but apparently I somehow managed it. Anyway, I came across it while looking for something else and enjoyed re-reading it - I hope that you'll get round to writing more sooner or later.
Comments from author:
Thanks for reviewing and commenting, man. I do have at lest one (and maybe a couple more0 chapters planned for this story. It's just a matter of getting my muse to cooperate in writing it/them. ;-)
And good luck with the voting, too.

Reading old fanfics.... and playing spot the crossover.
Heirs of Armageddon, of course, and B5? Did I miss any?
Comments from author:
Yes, Heirs (of Empire, actually) and B5 were correct, but you missed Emil (Antoon) Kadadaji, one of the major characters from Steve Perry's Matador series. ;-) Great series, by the way. You should definitely find it and read it.

I just reread this story from the beginning: it's fascinating. I hope your muse leads you to continue it soon. (Xander's ideas about revenge on Spike are delightfully vicious.)
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. no worry, this story will be continued.
And I don't think that Xander's daydreams about Spike's fate will begin to approach what will actually occur, once the Scooby Pack returns.
Just re-read this and it is very cool. I hope that we get to see more soon.
Comments from author:
Thanks for reviewing. As far as new chapters go, my muse currently seems to be concentrating on some of my other stories. I do, however, have more planned for this story.

As a big Weber fan I was delighted to stumble across this story. It has a great deal of potential for the butt kicking of evil – demons, politicians, lawyers, Spike, etc. Xander the First & Empress Cordelia would be a hoot as well.
Comments from author:
Yes, there is the potential for a lot of ass-kicking here, isn't there? I think you'll like what's coming up. I just have to find the the time to write it. ;-(
