Review of chapter "Chapter Thirty-two" from Ava
First and foremost I'm ecstatic to see this story being updated. I found it first on fanfiction.net and then stumbled across it here which made it far easier for me to track. I'm adoring the character interaction and the slow build of the relationships between all of them. Nothing seems forced or contrived and that's such a refreshing and wonderful take on things.
I like that Logan is pushing to have this connection with a cousin that he has vague, but fond, memories of and in turn it's pushing Buffy further from him because it makes sense that she not instantly connecting. I like that Max is wary of her, but still willing to help and I'm terribly interested in seeing what happens during 'girl's night' since Original Cindy is always fun times.
Needless to say I'm greatly enjoying this story and await any and all updates you can offer.

Review of chapter "Chapter Thirty" from bradsan
I just found this story. I hated it when I had to go to bed before reading it all till the end. So I finished what was left today. I love it how you wove things together to get this story and make it your own. At first I was disappointed that Angel married Cordy but seeing how it will solve the Buffy/Angel problem I'm glad he did.
I really like the interaction between Alec and Buffy and of course Max and Logan. Glad Tara stayed alive. I also like how they treat Buffy, so much better than the Scoobies did. They are giving her time to cope and she is already doing it faster then before.
I'm wondering will there be another Slayer next to Buffy. It seems
logical to me because when something big is coming and Buffy has to defeat it or preparing to defeat it. It won't be more then logical the PTB activated another slayer at the same time. It would make sense to hide Buffy from the Council like they did before when she was called the first time.
Why aren't they trying to locate Dawn with an locator spell. They could use Buffy's blood because it's the same as Dawns. She is made out of Buffy after all.
It's a really good story, well written and easy to read. Hope you'll update quick.

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty-nine" from acs
Huh. Excellent story. Just read thru the whole thing... so thoughts on the 1st 30 chapters :-)
I like how she (Buffy) doesn't fall into Angel's arms.
And is that Willy's Bar from Sunnydale?
Wondering what's up with the tattoos on Max that drove them to go to Sunnydale. Will we find out what caused them? Does Max have some connection to the Slayer line?
Speaking of which--- did I misread? Only three slayers (Faith, Kennedy, and the Russian girl) in the twenty years Buffy was dead? Faith must have been THE slayer for more than a decade if so but that doesn't work given Kennedy's age when she would have become a slayer and the other girl dying at 18. I'm assuming there were others but it doesn't read that way.
Comments from author:
Thank you for the wonderful compliment. Glad you're liking it so far. I can't answer everything without giving a few things away, but here's what I can tell you; yes, we will get into Max's tattoo's. Having them and what happened to her in that time frame was not something she had dealt with in her life. If you're familiar with the canon character, Max never seems to handle revelations like that, all that well. She seems to bury her head in the sand about it while she comes to terms with it if she can. I'm just trying to be true to the character by having her put it off as long as possible.
Secondly, when I was having Tara talk about the things that had occurred immediately after Buffy's death, she was trying to keep things to what Buffy knew or would be familiar with. There was information in the chapters that there was already mistrust with the council because of how they handled things, namely Buffy's Cruciamentum, firing Giles and how they handled passing along the information about Glory. The Council refused to help Angel and still considered him an enemy. So basically, Tara's Wiccan group that she developed in Los Angeles, were aware of the Council and preferred to keep their distance from them, only helping if it were dire necessity or to save innocents. Therefore, the only Slayers that Tara was familiar with were Buffy, Faith and Kennedy who came immediately after. She only knew the name of the latest Slayer because Pietr revealed the information to them in Sunnydale. So yes, there were many other Slayers around the world, working where they were needed, but because Willow and Faith shut down the Sunnydale hellmouth, they were never there or around Los Angeles.
I hope that clears up the confusion!

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty-eight" from sycoticprince
I love this story and I think you are an excellent writer to have come up with an amazing story like this. I read it last year I think. I was always hoping that you would continue this story and I am happy that you did. And I had a question. Did Angel become human because of the prophecy called the Shashu? I probably got the name wrong but I know that innthe show it was about vampire with a soul helping in an apocalypse and afterward he would become human. At least thats what I think it said. And is Spike alive?

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty-seven" from lilykep
I miss Xander, at least Willow and Faith died heroically. Poor Xander died alone after the power failed. It's sad, do you hate Xander or something? :(
I know its totally random, but still :'(
Comments from author:
Ohmigod no!!! I don't hate Xander. I love his character. I don't know, something about Xander screamed ordinary, tragic death. This was just my way of pointing out that the Pulse in Dark Angel timeline affected everyone. Not even the Scoobies got away from it. It took Xander and Dawn from them. Just like in the show (DA), everyone was hurt, or lost something. And I have to say, that the end result of Willow's death may be perceived as heroic, but it was selfishly motivated. She was in a downward spiral with her magic use and in this story, it happened much more quickly than otherwise and they never made it to the ultimate intervention, because of her actions. She didn't shut down the hellmouth because it would save people's lives. She did it because she wanted Buffy back and didn't get her, so when Dawn was taken, she wanted Dawn back and would stop at nothing to get her. The price was her life and it didn't even work.
I guess the only thing I can say is that there are still tidbits of the past that will play out in this story. Xander sadly, will not make a reappearance all of a sudden, healthy, whole and alive. The story is about Buffy coming back to life and trying to acclimate to this alien world, where even the things she was familiar with are no longer the same. I don't think I could accomplish what I'm setting out to do if she had all of her old crutches in place.
