Interesting approach to a number of things. The wistful tone is overlaying a number of sidelights and in-jokes, to which the ending is not inappropriate.

Seconding previous corrections, though, on the "bear" vs. "bare" hands; and the daughter Judy, not Julie.

The whole story is very fresh and inventive, a different approach to the HP crossover. I like how you've integrated the other fandoms -- the part with Luke Girardi and his theories was a nice touch. A couple of corrections to the Stargate part... It's "O'Neill" with two L's, and "bare" hands (not "bear" hands, unless Jack has somehow become a grizzly animagus). All in all, nicely done.
