A lovely interlude. Sigh. It makes me cry a little, knowing what happens to Joyce, that Paris wasn't for her to visit.

Best possible scenario I've ever read for the whole unseen-Brian thing. I love thinking that Joyce had someone as interesting and discerning as Methos to spend her last days with, and you've done a wonderful job of capturing the Methos attitude, voice, and mythology, but making him -- above all -- personal and personable. Other than the occasional Spike/Joyce pairings, I can't think of anyone I'd enjoy seeing Joyce on a date with. She deserved some respect from someone with better taste and insight than her ex-husband.

Aw... this is sweet, but so sad, knowing that Joyce dies before she ever gets to Paris... Very interesting.

Wow. Talk about hitting all the right notes. Lovely and in character for both Methos and Brian. It's wonderful to see Joyce out of her harried!mother role and into that of a beautiful woman...and it's made all the more poignant as Methos senses the impending reminder of her mortality.
