Review:
Heh. Only problem with this story was it was too short.

It could use some fleshing out, but other than that, not bad.
Oh, and there was a HHGttG movie, released in '81...quite frankly, it kinda sucked.

10 for the complete ingenuity of this story! I'm glad you wrote this, as I had no idea they had made it into a movie. I know you mentioned the old series, but have you read the books based on the original radio series? there are five or six of them in the trilogy.
I can just see the improbability drive adding to the chaos of the already interesting night, and Spike getting a babble fish stuck in his ear! Would you mind terribly if I used this as inspiration for a... well not really story, but a few of my own unofficial entries into tHGTtG?
Comments from author:
From what I understand, the tv show was a duplicate of the script from the radio... as for the books, I read them.. Did you know, however, that Douglas Adams never wanted to be a book writer? All he wanted to do was perform in front of people. The dvd had a documentary on him.
Feel free to use it as an inspiration. I don't know yet if I'll ever add a chapter two... but then again, I didn't think I would after finishing chapter 1 of "forces of Nature" story either.

You captured the flippant tone and spirit of the books/mini-series very well. I like Spike's comment about Ford's accent and Willow's that Xander should have dressed as a soldier. A great fic.
