Review of chapter "Author's End Note, Credits and Sequel Link." from (Current Donor)Listener
Review:
Great story, great ending. The beginning and some of the exposition relied a bit too heavily on the AU-Draco-as-head-boy tropes suffusing Potter fanfic, but overall I found the story to be well-told. Using Dark Willow's power to save the world was a nice touch, and I really felt her sense of loss over Tara.

Review:
I'm not a HP fan, though I do read highly recced crossovers. This was quite a work of art. The interplay between Willow and the Potterverse was well executed, and you've managed to convince me that Willow/Draco is a legitimate 'ship. Oh, the horror ;) I kept wondering how Willow would figure into the final battle with Voldemort, and I'm quite pleased that my expectations were exceeded.

Amazing story. I found it a wonderful, compelling read. Was up until 4am, and still did not manage to finish it until I'd slept a few hours. Now, at 9:40am, I can say, what a rush.

Loved it. Thank you.

Review of chapter "Chapter 3" from (Current Donor)Katrina
Review:
Even if I only ever read this chapter (unlikely), if all I do is pause right here in chapter 3:

The idea that she was addicted to magic was utter crap; she only wished she’d seen it sooner. You can’t be addicted to part of yourself, she thought, it’s like being addicted to toenails, and about as productive.

You have gained my very deep appreciation, because: Yay and Verily. Thank you Very Much.

Just had to say that.

I shall continue reading and it's about 50/50 whether I'll review even if I like the story, but I had to comment right there.

So, you win many cookies of your favorite flavor and a high five. Well done.

I should mention the 9 is because I haven't finished the chapter. I just had to stop and write immediately.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. :)!

Review:
Reading this story was a bit of a roller-coaster ride for me.
I started it because I liked the idea of Dark!Willow at Hogwarts.
Then you nearly lost me when she realized that this was a place, and these were people, from a series of books that she'd read (that's very nearly too cute for a serious story, really). I gritted my teeth and kept going, and things got better with the beautiful descriptions of the castle, and Willow's exploration of the situation. I felt good about the possibility of Willow/Snape for a while, and then the Draco-Bonding thing brought the story waaaay down (sorry, don't like the D), and I was on the verge of dropping it again. The detour to Sunnydale, was disappointing, a plot cul-de-sack that really seemed out of place, given that Willow had already given plenty of thought to how she didn't really belong there, and her former friends were in no hurry to see her again.
Then, just when things were at their lowest, you brought in Narcissa, a character I've not seen featured often in stories here, but one who is oddly intriguing to me. I loved your take on her, and when Severus seemed to be edging back into Willow's sphere a bit I once again got wrapped up in the story.
At some point during all of this I got a little restless about the lack of, well, much of anything happening. There was a prophecy (sort of) hanging around, Tara was giving cryptic hints, the teaching staff wanted Willow to do SOMETHING... and really the only forward movement seemed to be Willow and Draco shagging. You dangled the idea of Dark!Willow at us all the way through, but it seemed like it wasn't actually going to happen, which would have made the whole thing seem like a long trip that went nowhere.
Then the last few chapters finally picked up some speed, accumulated some momentum, and finally crashed through into a nice (if very low-key) confrontation, with some nifty Willow action.

And here I am at the end.
All in all, I liked this book quite a bit, even if I spent more than half of it wondering/wishing/hoping that something would happen, something other than what was actually happening on the page at that particular moment. I suppose that might translate as a compliment, that you kept me reading even though I often didn't especially like what you were writing.
^_^
Okay, a sideways compliment at best.
Sorry.

I look forward to the Narcissa-centric story you mentioned in the afterword.
I'll look for it first chance I get.
Comments from author:
I have to say thank you for this review, even if it is a sideways compliment, in your view. This was the first major fic I attempted to write, the first crossover, the first time I wrote HP and the only fic I've written for Willow. It was an experiment, one that on the whole I'm very proud of--mostly because I finished it--but like any experiment, there are things I look back on and cringe about. Cliches that I thought were funny to include the first time, tongue-in-cheek style, that weren't executed as well as I could do now are particular winces, but for better or for ill, they're there to stay. I've thought about going back and revamping the story, doing some major edits and fixing things, but honestly? This is fanfic. My real life is beyond complicated and the thought of wasting time revising something unpublishable is ridiculous. That said, I found writing this story a wonderful learning experience, what I'm good and and what I'm not, what readers want and what I want are very different out of a story, and times that I bent to reader will are some of the times I'm least satisfied with the writing. We're all human, and we're all works in progress, much as this fic was. I particularly like reviews that show the reader thought about the story, which is as much a compliment as anything can be, because after all the effort that went into it that's all an author can reasonably expect. So, thank you for such a well thought out review, and I hope you enjoy the Narcissa story.

Review:
My review is a 10 out of 10. . . I am not sure I got the numbers right!
This is my favorite Btvs Crossover, and one of my favorite fanfics ever! I constantly recommend it to other Btvs fans.
Your story is of such high quality! I've emailed you before, but I just re-read it, and I continue to love your exploration of
Snape and Narcissa's characters. . . something I think Rowling makes too black and white.
Just wanted to say thanks again for an excellent story and many hours of enjoyment!
I'd love to see another sequel, or anything else by you, actually. /shameless begging/. Jodie
Comments from author:
And thank you once again! Rowling's treatment of Snape and Narcissa, in the end, turned out to be more grey than we were initially led to believe, and I like to think fanfic writers saw some of that even in the early presentations. Glad you enjoyed!

Review:
I found this story because of the 2006 CoAs. I would like to think I would have found it eventually anyway, but I am so glad I didn't have to wait. This story had a beginning, middle, and end. There was plot (one of my favorite things), character development, romance, angst, joy etc etc etc and even though I knew the end was coming I didn't want it to, and it was painful.

Your story had passion all the way through. I stopped reading JKR after 4 because it seemed as though she had lost what little sense of fun she had, and from what I've heard about the HbP other people feel the same. Don't lose yours.
Comments from author:
What a lovely review--this feedback has positively made my day. WTB was something I labored over, tried to make as real as possible, and it was painful for me to leave it and work on other projects. I hope, someday, that I can finish the other wips I have lounging around as effectively as I did WTB! Again, thank you. You've made this author a happy ficcer!

Review of chapter "Chapter 45 and Epilogue" from Arjai
Review:
I know this is the end, but it would have been nice to see Willow ask Pansy, Ginny, Hermione, and Millicent to be her brides maid, and Draco do the same with Crabbe, Goyle, Harry , and Ron. Unrealistic true, but nice if only for the shock value!
Comments from author:
There's a small wedding story bouncing around in my brain, though I've not had time to write it. One day, hopefully!

I know you've been told a million times how wonderful and brilliant this story is... and it is. I'd love to see a wedding sequel, or Severus's story, or actually, whatever the heck you'd like to write. Keep up the good work!
Comments from author:
I'd love to write more of this world, particularly coming back to it after such a long time. Maybe sometime in the near future, if I ever take a vacation.
