This story looked pretty interesting. Xander joins the military and something about (maybe all of that Hellmouth trained survival instinct) him brought him to the attention of the SGC. With the typical Xander luck, he has encountered evidence of vampires in space. All of this seem to have the makings of an interesting or even fun story.

Marine boot camp is 13 weeks long not 8, MZCT for non grunts is 4 and SOI for infantry is 7ish weeks, and then they go to their MOS schools.
