This is absolutely fabulous!!! I did see your note about personal issues. I really hope to see more of this sometime soon.
Coupla things..... First, Chapter 16 appears to be incomplete. It ends in the middle of sentence. Second, punctuation needs LOTS of work. Almost all of the apostrophes are out of place.

Partially so that I can find out what happens next, but I truely hope your family has gotten through the trouble with as little damage as possible. Your writing is very good and addicting and Serena is one of the most memorable original characters I've come across in quite a while.
