This felt just like what I'd imagine an episode of a BTVS/Smallville hybrid show would read like. Love how you wrote Lex in this part, him dealing with his dad rings very true. Great work :)

Very well put together. I like the bits of canon intertwined - Lionel going blind, Martha being pregnant 'Cara' as a name - and the slow and realistic building up of Dawn/Clark and Lex/Buffy's relationships.

I actually made Lionel blind again to fit in with another story that I thought of but never finished writing. John Glover did such a good job playing Lionel as a blind man, I thought.

Aww, that was so sweet! I loved the fact that Lionel got his eyeballs popped out. oh, maybe I shouldn't admit that... Anyway, Lex and Buffy make a cute couple, and I loved everyone's parts. When Lionel's old flame came for him with Drucilla, that was great. *sigh of contentment* The whole preying-mantis part, and Buffy getting threats from Lionel, and well, the whole thing really, it was all great. Thanks for writing. =)

Ok. Gotta write a sequel. Gotta, gotta, gotta. I do love this series so far. I really hope to see more of this soon. I can actually see these pairings. At first, I was thinking that it had to be Buffy-Clark because of the whole Savior-of-Mankind thing they both got goin on. But I can really see that Dawn and Clark both have the Freak-of-Not-So-Nature goin on and Buffy and Lex both have the whole wounded souls/guarded hearts thing goin for them. I can’t wait to find out what happens next? Is Lionel gonna tell on Buffy? Is he gonna keep goin after her, tryin to control Lex???? And I wanna see more Buffy-Lex smoochies!!!!! Please??

Awesome story. Excellent characterisation, especially of Dawn and Lex. There was a bit of Chloe bashing but it wasn't unfair I suppose. The preying-mantis with kryptonite enhancement is a great villain. As is Lionel. I hope you decide to continue this series.
