Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from EroSlackerMicha
(blink) (blink)

what kind of ending is this?!?!?!? there are so many things unanswered. you spent all that time building up connections to Reece, to Ginny & Luna and you just....

You work for Bioware and the Mass Effect 3 team, don't you? at least say there will be a sequel. this was a good story I spent the day reading and to end it like this is like having sex and no finish.

Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from mithrilandtj
YAY! It's finally finished!

If you do ever do a sequel, how about Remus & Tonks coming over to visit?

Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from (Recent Donor)DonSample
I spent the last few days rereading this from the start. I was surprised at how many different plot points that had stuck in my memory as nice nice touches from stories I had read, but hadn't remembered the source for them came from this one story.

Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from laoshi
A wonderful ending to a truly epic tale. Most novels are about 100,000 words, aren't they? So how does it feel to have written 5 novels? I really loved Harry's trick with the wand that was a great upbeat note to end on. Thank you for giving us the highlights to the sequel. It's great to know the direction you were going to take the next story in. I do remember reading a few other inevitable verse doodlings on your livejournal ages ago that I don't think ever got turned into completed stories. The only one I really remember is a Ginny POV where she gets a little jealous of harry's relationship with Nathaniel, which I thought was great. Are you ever going to post it here. Also your livejournal lead me to your dreamwidth , which led me to your AO3 account which I never knew you had. I thought you hadn't posted a new story in years so now I'm off to go download those.

But seriously this was a herculean piece of writing and I'm just so happy you managed to finish it. The later Anita books make me want to throw things sometimes. I completely understand why you lost your motivation for continuing with this story. Fanfic can be a way of taking a story in a different direction from the one the author of the original work intended. In some cases the results equal anything in the source material and in rarer cases with an author as talented and inspired as you are the original works can be surpassed. If any story has done that it's got to be this one. Thank you so much for writing it.

Review of chapter "Seventy-Nine: The Morning After" from laoshi
I'm glad you decided to change who died rather than have everybody live. It adds more emotional impact to the story.I liked how you showed Mr and Mrs Weasley reacting differently to Charlie's death. A confrontation with the Ministry over Anita's necromancy was kind of inevitable, but I did want to shout at the screen Why can't Dumbledore take 30 seconds and explain why he wants Harry to stay in the Great Hall? It does make a much better story this way though. I can't wait to read the final chapter.

Review of chapter "Seventy-Eight: Bokor Majeur" from laoshi
The payoffs keep coming. The Bokor Majeur has been the threat hanging over this story for so long. I suspected Anita would be at least tempted if not forced to use it during the final confrontation with Voldemort. I love the way you describe Anita and her powers its the equal of anything we got in the books. Elsa is a fascinating OC and her letting Anita's use of the Bokor Majeur slide felt very plausible. I also enjoyed their escape on the broom. Playing up Anita's fear of flying more could have been fun but I think it would have lashed with the tone of the rest of the chapter so you made the right choice. Anther great chapter.

Review of chapter "Fifteen: Like a Rugged Island Without a Shore" from draconis
I've started re-reading the story now that it's ended, and Wow! The last few chapters (in and around 14) are I think the best I've read (or seen in the movies) vis-a-vis the Cruciatus impact on its victims...Graphic, detailed, and very disturbing. You really excelled at conveying the physical and mental impact of this curse and why it's so feared.

I also think your treatment of these particular character sets is one of the most true-to-"life" I've read. It was easy to become immersed in the whole Wizards, Werecreatures, and Vampires verse presented in your story precisely because you DON'T focus on the performance of spells, shifting, or vampire powers, but rather deal with the thoughts and emotions of the people involved as a result of those elements. It's quite compelling. Even the rare times you go first person are engaging...difficult for many authors successfully to pull off.

Harry's "I'm responsible" self-guilt/self-flagellation is still over the top for my taste, but so far not quite as over-done as in most other Harry Potter fanfic I've read. I'm hopeful that as the story continues he'll mature in this regard and start realizing the responsibility rests with Vmort, Death Eaters, and corrupt politicians...not the victims and certainly not himself.

Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from Xayian
Awesome conclusion! So glad Anita's power came into play as it should and that Harry was still the one to take out Moldy-wart. Just one question though, what happened to Luna?

Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from Kirallie
Was so so happy to see more to this. Sad that it has ended and with Harry pretty much banished. Stupid Ministry. So the Americans wouldn't extradite him back? Liked how you killed Tom. So no Deathly Hallows?

Review of chapter "Seventy-Seven: Soul, Twisted" from laoshi
You certainly decided to return with an absolute corker of a chapter. It's great to see you back and writing. I enjoyed the way you had Lucius turning on Voldemort to save Draco. It was a great unexpected twist. It was also interesting to witness the denouement of the murdered Death eater plotline that started lo those many chapters ago. Anita doing her Obsidian Butterfly power drain was an intriguing variation on the Harry has to die and come back to kill Voldemort plot we get in the book. Harry killing Voldemort with Anita's Firestarter was definitely the way to go it adds a nice touch of insult to the mortal injury. It really was an awesome chapter and a great way to return to this story. It's wonderful to have a new post from you thanks again for deciding to continue with this story. I'd love to read the other three chapters now but alas work intervenes. I'll have to do it later.

Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from Vld
Wow, been a while since i last read this! I was last at chapter 76, just read the four last ones in one go.

That was, as always, excellent. I hope there will be a sequel, because there are many matters now that are unresolved.

For starters, there's the obvious: The Ministry won't let go of the matter, despite how wise it would be. Then the less obvious: Even if Christof and Elsa keep quiet about it, the Council will most likely hear about what happened, and have yet another attempt at either conquering or killing Anita's merry band.

And a couple other things too. Dumbledore will try to help Harry, but he's got a tendency to think "i know better about what is good for you" which could be a problem, and i in no way believe that healing Remus won't have any unseen consequences. besides, since it was Anita who healed him in the first place, the Ministry is bound to try something stupid. Not to mention, Hermione tried to help harry. She's in danger as well.

And last (that i can think of, that is), Draco will want to know what happened to his father... if he doesn't already believe that Harry was responsible.

Review of chapter "Eighty: The End" from WolfiousOne
Thankyou for completing this story. I've loved it from the get go.
I can understand why you're inclined to not write a sequel, especially after reading that LJ post. I can totally relate. I fell out of love with the AB series a few books ago. Every now and then I just look at them and go, "I want to like these books like I used to.. what happened?!"
So, looking at the latest stories and seeing you'd finally completed this story? Definitely a 'yay' moment.
Yes, thankyou very much for completing this story.
I think in a day or so I may reread the whole thing from Chap 1 again. :)
