Review of chapter "Epilogue" from Dragonelf
Yay, new chapter.

Those this mean we will see new chapters added to the other stories in the series?

Review of chapter "Epilogue" from Vld
"Two figures gradually took shape in front of her. The afternoon sun shone through them, giving them a faint glowing look. One of them was a blonde woman who smiled faintly at her from her perch on the tombstone. The other was a smaller, almost familiar looking young woman whose eyes seemed to bore into Fann's heart, her light brown skin glowing with an unearthly light."

Well, i'm just wondering who these two gostly ladies are. I have two guesses for each, but i wanted to be sure. I mean, the blond one is either Tara or Joyce... though it could be Anya, but i somehow doubt it.
The other one... light brown skin? I'd say either Kendra or Jenny Calendar. So, how wrong am i?
Comments from author:
Thanks for hte comments.

Hmm... I wrote this scene 2-3 years ago. Not sure anymore why I tried to make it so low key.

It isn't a secret but there is no reason (yet) for Fann herself to know who they are. I thought my mangled attempt to portray Kendra's accent would give her identify away. Among other clues.

I never even thought of using Joyce in this. Tara just seems to be the 'go-to girl' for PTB messenger or voice from the afterlife. And I've had the scene where Willow visits Tara's grave (at a newish cemetery on the edge of Sunnydale) in my head for so long that I just thought everyone could see it :-).

But at least you know that Tara is really dead and I won't be bringing her back in this series :-).

The 'ghosts have consciousness' (minds of their own) is actually a carry over from the HP part of the crossover. They'll probably appear again in the future - if I can find a legitimate reason.

Review of chapter "London Calling" from (Past Donor)IntoOblivion
Wow, this has to be my favorite story ever based on an OC... Fann is a wonderfully well rounded character and her interractions with the immortals is perfect. I read the ginny/buffy trilogyish bit of this series a long time ago, and just yesterday sought it out again deciding that this time I had to get through all the rest of the bits and piecies of this series.

The way you've seperated each seperate story arc into its own story, while maintaining the facinating epic adventure which spans them all is truly astounding. I initially thought (in a bit of a grumble) that it would be nice to read the whole thing as one story (I got a bit confused by all the random allusions to things I didnt know). But having read more outside the 'girl in the bar' ones I just cant help but bow down to your superior knowledge. The odd disjointed feeling left by the way you've laid out the series makes sense in this bizarre way, with all the seperate worlds slowly feeding into each other in their own stories.

I really hope you manage to get re-inspired by this series at some point. I'm not even half way through and I'm so eagre to know how the bits I've read so far will conclude (and I just know there will be other threads of the tale left floating adrift).

I kinda wish we could review series so I could put that rant somewhere more sensible, ah well (or recomend series like you can fics, its often so hard to decide which amongst a great collection to single out).

I'm enjoying the slow descovery you seem to manage with your characters, none of them are rushed into over-trusting relationships with one another as is so often seen in fanfic when someone wants two chars to be friends (or more). I adored the interraction between her and giles, such a poingent moment considering what's to come in BtVS... and the effect on Fann of knowing that Buffy hadn't been allowed to keep her peace... just heartbreaking.

So anyway... hopefully in the next few days I'll have time to read the rest of this series so you'll probably get another ramble from me sometime soon.
Comments from author:
Wow. I don't really know how to respond to this. So much review-goodness.

Well, I actually have taken the whole thing and stuffed it into a single ebook style file but it's a pain to keep current since they aren't all finished.

I do plan on finishing all of the different plot threads/stories. This story is just missing the next part (I've had a rough draft of the last chapter sitting around for a while.) but I can't seem to get it written.

Having the different threads going does have its drawbacks.

I don't want any part to get to far ahead of the others in the story timeline (for spoilers). (The next 'Willow-part' doesn't occur until the end of the current Buffy story; This story needs to be finished before the Buffy story, etc. And the 'Perci' story can't be continued beyond the next part without giving away the ending of a story in the series I haven't even started yet. Very confusing... I had to draw a chart just to keep track of things)

Review of chapter "London Calling" from Dragonelf
This story was just as good as the last time I read it and I hope that you someday get inspired to add more chapters to this story.

In this chapter Amanda is speaking with man she calls Albus and I wonder if his last name by any chance is Dumbledore?

Comments from author:
Huh. Hadn't realized I hadn't given his last name.

Yes, that is Dumbledore.

There are only two parts left to go which I hope to add this year (2008). This story needs to be finished before several others in the series get too much further.

Review of chapter "London Calling" from Eureka
So when are you going to update? It's been over a year since you last posted on the first two stories in the series. I'm about to find out about the third in the series. Will post comment on that one too. Plz finish the series.

Review of chapter "Of Seers and Destiny" from (Recent Donor)faithfan
from the end of chapt 7

AN[1]: The Sidhe mentioned in this story are the Sidhe of Irish legend, reinterpreted for this story. They are not the Sidhe/elves of modern fantasy literature. Not a pointy ear anywhere. Sorry

this could give you a great opportunity to bring in background from the Merry Gentry stories, even if you don't use any characters. There are no pointy ears that Sidhe either.

When will you be updating this story??? or the other unfinished Red Raider stories ?
Comments from author:
I do plan to finish it eventually. Not sure when.

As far as bringing in the whole 'Merry Gentry' thing... sorry, no. The whole series is already at the bursting point with crossovers. Any more and it would probably implode and become a black hole. %-).

Review of chapter "London Calling" from Vld
Nice! Really nice! When exactly does this part take place? I'm guessing end of sixth, beginning of seventh season, but I'm not sure. And who's the blond guy? I don't think it's Spike, what with him going out through a trial... then again, maybe he didn't go in Africa immediately? Otherwise, I don't remember a blond guy among Buffy's people... other than a couple former schoolmates.
Comments from author:
When does it happen? Hmmm... from the context it should have been clear that it takes place some time in the fall while Giles was in London.

Blond guy? None. Only three people with blond hair have been mentioned in the entire story thus far: Fann's unnamed grandmother, Amanda, and Buffy.

If you are referring to the person Fann meets in the museum... he doesn't give his name but from the context it should have been clear that this is Giles. Not sure how much more obvious it could be unless she asks his name (He did give her a business card but she doesn't look at it (yet). If it wasn't clear enough... I'll keep that in mind for the next revision of this chapter.

Hmmm... I also use the feminine form of the word - :"blonde"

Review of chapter "London Calling" from Sadfru
the whole cryptic speak was nice (even if it wasn't that cryptic), would like to know more of the sidhe side of things and some action but this was interesting, 3 verse's are there going to be any more universes added on, well you didn't go in depth but it was interestingly well done, wonder what part this sword will play and whether the trio are going to show up.

Till next time :)
Comments from author:
Thanks for the comments.

Well, somewhere in the notes in the first part of this story it explains that this is part of my "Red Raider" series. You'll want to check out the index for that for a complete list of stories in the series. Currently, this story intersects with three of the 4 main 'universes' involved in that series (and a 5th minor one).

Simply put, it's:

BtVS - AU after "Chosen" (Angel goes seriously AU after season 4)
"Harry Potter" - AU after 'Order of the Phoenix'
"Highlander" - AU after Season 6 (Richie's dead but that whole 'Raven' thing never happens)
"Tomb Raider" - AU after the last movie and game (in a merger of the TR movie and game verses with a few minor changes on top of that)

Review of chapter "The Ethics of Immortals" from (Moderator)Demona
This is an amazing story. I love the OC you have created. And while she isn't intimately involved in the BtVS universe (yet) you still feel like she is part of the gang. I look forward to where you take this story.

An interesting story, thank you. Its a nice change to see a crossover so loosely connected to the BtVS characters.

Review of chapter "Death and the Boy Scout" from Vld
Wow... I wonder how long it will take for both Duncan and Methos to understand she is a Slayer? And did Joe ever hear of Slayers? Also, I meant if Amanda ever met slayers in the past, not in the future, since I know she met both Faith and Buffy. And you answered this question in chapter 7.
Comments from author:
Well... slayers would have been rare... and Amanda only met one in her thousand years... so the chances of Duncan having even heard about them is doubtful.

I'm trying to keep the two organizations separate... at this point Amanda believes they are separate organizations... so we're going with that unless proven otherwise. If that helps.

Review of chapter "Of Seers and Destiny" from JoeDineen
Interesting so far. I look forwar to how you integrate this with the rest of your Red Raider series. I am also looking forward to how the Sidhe heritage works out.
Comments from author:
The clues are scattered all through the other stories in this series :-). But it might take a while to get there...

I do have major plans for expanding on the whole Sidhe heritage "thing" but that'll be in a future story that is just an idea right now.

Review of chapter "Of Seers and Destiny" from manic
I'm really enjoying this. Can't wait for her to meet Mac. I'd still like to see Fann run into someone associated with the scoobies.
Comments from author:

MacLeod will appear in several future parts but the focus is Fann and Amanda. (I've already written one of two planned meetings between one of the Sunnydale crew and Fann... I just need to finish the parts in between :). But that could take a while.)

Review of chapter "Of Seers and Destiny" from banner
This is a terrific story - complex, creative, and unexpected. I love Fann and your portrayal of Amanda. The way you are unfolding the plot and the backstory is wonderfully paced.
This is going to be an epic. Yay!
Comments from author:
Thanks for the comments.

Well... it isn't really an 'epic' - more like back-story for an epic already in progress :) . This particular story ends around the same time as the destruction of Sunnydale. (Though I will probably write stories covering some of Fann and Amanda's adventures between then and when Fann finally meets the Scoobies at some point.)
