Great start. So, am I reading this correctly? Willow is the Prize? Well, that would be...neat. Oh, and I love how her temporary death cut off all of the neo-Slayers' powers. I can't wait to read more!

Very interesting beginning! This is a fresh take on the Willow-as-Immortal plot, and I can't wait to see what you do with it. It's fascinating how her first death affected the Slayers. I wonder if that was just a first time thing, or if it will happen every time Willow "dies." Also, it indicates that Willow is still tied to the magic that created the Slayer army - as a conduit maybe? I also like the mundane nature of her first death. It's so ironic that one of the most powerful beings on the planet could be laid low by something so small.

And she kicked the Gathering into high gear. That has all sorts of complications. You mentioned that you're considering bring Amanda to the party. That could be tons 'o fun. I'm partial to the little minx myself. You said that the regular Highlander folks might not exist in this AU. If that's the case, then people who are dead in canon might still be alive and kickin'. What about bringing back some of the dearly departed in a cameo? Fitzcairn, Rebecca, Darius. Or the not-so-dearly-departed? Kalas, Xavier St. Cloud, any one of the Horsemen, or Horton - if you're feeling an evil Watcher vibe.

Hmm, so many possibilities.
