Also...do you honestly think Bush wouldn't change things if HE could go back in time and prevent 9/11? Or was that just for the benefit of a clever story?

What the story does, is question who is responsible for allowing these deaths to happen.

Given where almost all the 9/11 hijackers came from...
and who has all the intimate family connections (two generations worth) with the Saudis...
and who profited politically from the deaths...
and whose campaign donors are making billions from the war right now....
and who still grovels at the feet of the head Wahhabists, the aforementioned Saudi royal family...

You're treading on very dangerous ground by including a real-life incident in a fic, particuarly one as recent as 9/11. The 23 year rule is there for a reason you know.

I guess I might be premature in thinking you feel such a thing is possible insofar as the imputed character of the current POTUS is concerned. If so, I'd be glad to hear it.

I'm going to have to borrow some dialogue from Firefly, and say that that drabble was extremely creepifying - but, you know, in a good way. A complete story with LOTS of emotional resonance in 100 words? This is how it's done.

As for the Bush/WR&H connection, do you remember whereabouts the reference was made? I can just see Lilah and Rove in a meeting. *very evil grin*

Oh I seriously need to watch my Angel DVD's again now that I finally got Season 5. The Bush/Wolfram and Hart connection in canon just appeals to my inner-Lone Gunman geek side. I got a chill - in 100 words or less.
