Very nicely done. I see the start of a budding friendship with Nick and Natalie, as well as a possible relationship with LaCroix. I hope you will pick this up again sometime, and give us a look a few years down the road with these two.

Nice job on this first chapter. I can see how Willow could decide to move to Toronto. With what little help she would be with Spike, Giles and Tara, as well as what Xander needed, she would be better off in Toronto. And with LaCroix there as a mentor of sorts, she will become a force in her own right to be reckoned with!

I accidentally found it when I clicked on 'Latest' and saw it there. It wasn't until later that I found out that I had my search by DATE ASCENDING so it was like one of the first stories to show up, even though it was written 4+ years ago!!!

Prior to the Riley / Initiative story arc, I would get mad at something Buffy did and then get over it. During this time frame, I got mad at Buffy and didn't get over it. Your story, besides being full of LaCroix / Willow relationship goodness, reminded my how irritated Buffy's character made me.

Review of story "Branches Series" from Anonymous Reviewer
Review:
This has got to be one of the best Forever Knight crossovers I've ever read. The character development aspect and the historical perspective aspect were always as much of a draw for me with this show as the crime-mystery and action elements.
You very plausibly put Willow in a situation where she could still be in-character, and I had no problem with you changing the "dates" for the FK series to be in synch with Buffy.
I also liked the way that you inferred that the Helmouth effects people and being of magic, either directly or indirectly. Thus if the FK gang stays away from Sunnydale and Clevland they can exist in the same world as the Buffy gang.
Going along with the second (or was it third) FK season's "kinder-gentler LaCoix" doesn't make him any less dangerous, and I'm glad you don't ignore that issue.
The fact remains, while Willow and LaCoix can have an affair of the heart, they may not be able to have one in body -- without extreme precautions -- such as -- Lucian/Lucius feeding heavily before a date and perhaps even a magical ritual performed before they even go beyond a gentle kiss.
I noticed that you have a few other romance scenarios for Willow on your listing, and look forward to checking some of them out.
Thanks for writing and sharing this story.
