Review of chapter "A house by the Cove" from BrownFinderth

A very heartrending end to this fine story. I did enjoy reading it!! I'm happy that Buffy and Dawn were able to live their own lives. Though, I am curious about Faith. Did she ever go back to visit?

Beautiful story. Only flaw was the stupid lyrics. A good story does not need a gimmic.

This was sad and yet very touching. I wish she could have gotten that peace while still in contact (at least) with the gang. You sent those pleasent shivers up my spine and brought tears to my eyes. GOOD JOB

Thank you. This story was moving and went to the core of what a slayer gives up. Family , friends and most of all a Life. A normal non-demoney(if thats word) life.
Thank you my friend. You have done it justice and done it well.
I applaud you. *bows*

Neat story. I'm not a sucker for happy endings, but this was nice. Credible characterizations and plot, with well-written scenes. Some of the transitions between sections seemed a bit choppy, but I realize this was a story not a novel.
I've read this story multiple times and it is always good.
While I'm curious to know what happened to Dawn the story is great the way it is. And sure, I'm also curious about the fate of the others (Faith, Willow, Xander, etc.) but that isn't needed.
Thanks for a wonderful story.

I loved this! I never would've imagined Buffy's maternal grandparents would turn out to be those two MASH alumni, but it totally works for me, and I adore the idea that Buffy finally got to walk away from the monsters and live a normal life, beloved by her community for her ability to build up young kids instead of for her ability to tear down the evil uglies that are out there. Both are important functions, of course, but after Buffy has saved the world so many times over, it's great that she got to find 'rest for her soul' while still on earth.

I like this story. It was quite different from what I usually read for Buffy crossovers.

Wow! I don't think I've ever read a "Buffy gets to live the dream" story that actually works before this one. Well done.

Absolutely lovely! If she were my friend, this is the quiet life I would have hoped for her. Wow - Crabapple Cove: the heaven of slayers. :-)
