Interesting fic, and I would love to see more. I'm a fan of Buffy/Illyria friendship fics, and I'd have to say that this is probably the best of that niche. I hope you write more on it someday.

Nope, not abandoned. I remove any story that I have no intention of completing. I adored Fred, but Illyria intrigues me to no end. I hope there's more soon-ish.
I'm pretty sure this story is years old. I've only just discovered it and I'm really enjoying it. I have actual, real tears while I read the ending of this chapter. Thank you for writing this, love it. Now back to read some more.

I hope your muse returns to you with this fic its amazing so far. You write one of the best Illyria's I've ever seen and I love how well you capture her voice. I love her relationship with everyone especially Buffy. It seems totally right that she'd be with the slayers in some way after losing everyone else she knew.
I hope you are able to add to this in the future, its wonderfully well crafted and an excellent read, congrats so far and good luck with the rest

Thank you. I hope it returns to it as well. :) I'm not sure about writing on of the best, I do use a lot of Illyria-isms, but thank you for the pretty compliment. I think Illyria wanted a connection to this world, fist Wesley and, in this story, then Buffy.

If the Ancients had enough power to lock away the Old Ones et all, then why were the Wraith such a blight? Or the Ori? But I guess that's neither here nor there. Especially since this isn't set in the same time frame. Great story anyway. Better than I expected.

I started this story before either of those plot-lines came into effect so unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you. My best ones would have to be the Wraith seemed to come when the Ancients were at their weakest and smallest numbers and whose to say the Ori aren't backlash from the absorption of the Old Ones' essences? I'm not sure how to take the 'better than I expected' part, but I'm glad you liked it regardless and thank you for taking the time to review.
