Given the info revealed in Book 6 (I won't spoil it for anyone), I think I can safely say what Buffy did is no more a permanent condition than when Voldie originally zapped Harry.

Possibly. I could have more of a response if I myself had any interest in spoiling Book 6 for anyone. You would have to admit that it would certainly be a, um ... setback on his part. I think I can safely say that would ruin anyone's day.
