I think this is a great start. I hope you have this set in early- to mid-season 4, just because that would put Paige at about Xander's age (assuming she got her job at the Clinic right after college, and that she'd been working there for a year or so). Another thing about setting it then would be the way Paige is so new to magic. She could start having an excuse (or it could be her real reason at first) to talk to Xander, because then he could tell her about the things the Scooby Gang dealt with. Anyway, hope you update soon.
