Very interesting take on Misty.
I can imagine her needing to be youthened every once in a long, long while due to the weight of years if she is a mutant or human/demon hybrid that does not die of old age.. There's a like as not long lost Rogue/Kitty fic (not hentai, boys), where Kitty ends up asking Rogue about her adoptive mom: "She remembers farming. The first ones, I mean. She figured it wouldn't catch on, at first. She kept journals, like clay tablets, even, so she doesn't lose track of things; considers writing the greatest accomplishment mankind ever managed."
All things considered, I don't doubt that Misty's been mistaken for a demon many times and had to ally with them for things like her returns to youth.

Is the British politician a reference to Lord Aberdeen, mid-19th century Prime Minister?

Be very interested to see your take on Strange - I've written him according to canon in one story, but I'm working on a non-Buffyverse crossover that has him as borderline insane.

Very interesting story so far. I'm a little surprised Kendra is so open about everything, however I love what you're doing with the school and "Misty."

Nice surprise subplot with Misty/Mystique. Didn't see that coming.
Because vampires in Marvel spread by viral infection, Nick Fury might be able to have SHIELD scientists try to develop an anti-viral inhibitor that inoculate people against being turned into vampires. Because of Kendra's Slayer nature, her blood could become the basis of an anti-vampire vaccine similar to Leech in “X-Men: Last Stand.”

I'm liking it, and Young Quentin is a nice touch. To paraphrase the line from Wicked The Musical, the most beloved heroes are the redeemed ones. So, he's sort of like a Mirror-Wesley, then, starting out ahead but progressing through stuffed shirt to utter arse?

This is an extremely uplifting story, and I am enjoying it a great deal. By setting it in 1955, do you intend for the Shadow King to make an appearance eventually? I especially like the light touches of continuity: Gabe Jones and Nick Fury, Dr. Strange and his mild disturbance in the mystic fields, even a less-hidebound Quentin Travers.
Had a thought - since the commonly-accepted truth about the Key is that it is unique, and only in the reality it currently is in, is it 'unknown', does that mean Dr. Strange, the Watcher's Council, et al, will make assumptions as to how Kendra got here?
Anyway, looking forward to updates. Thanks!

Review:
This is a powerful, touching story... I am longing for the next chapter. there aren't enough decent Kendra centric stories out there. In fact, in all my years, this is the first one I've read. I'm very impressed. Occasionally, Kendra falls into 'testifying' a bit, but that's a small fault. I love how you manage to get into her head.
More soon, I very much hope.

Flapped! Charles Xavier *and* Flapped! Eric Lensherr (AKA Magneto, the Master of Magnetism) in the same chapter - in both cases, due to Kendra. (Oaky - before anyone athinks that this is *wrong*, think again; this is 1955 (pre-split between Charles and Eric), and the building they are all in is indeed Charles' home - he grew up here. It's definitely refreshing to see Eric put over Kendra's metaphorical knee and *spanked*, and basically for not following his own tenets. Maybe in this AU, Eric will teach at Charles' school?

I was so glad that you updated this story. But really, will it be easy for Fury to track down Kendra when she literally dropped out of a portal? I can almost imagine the conversation on the phone to find her, however I am inept on how well Fury's mind actually works.
