I find this disappointing, and probably not for any of the reasons that people will immediately associate with that word. This doesn't have the potential to be a million word saga (the scope is too limited unless you're going to go through all of the Anita Blake stories), but it definitely is a good enough framework for a few thousand more words.

Glad I found this, Anya is one of my fav characters and is horrible underused, and I don't think I've seen anybody show Anya slightly off balance and trying fit in like this. Very much how she was just after she lost her powers and she latched onto Xander.

I like your setup. The interaction between Anya and Anita could be interesting if you carry this story further. I thought you did a nice job with everyones' character. I think it would be a lot of fun if Anya did 'take over' Animators Inc.
