Found this story, and really enjoyed it. You capture Mal's voice perfectly, and the I could hear Kaylee in my head when she talked. Impressive writing!

Don't know if you will continue this, but it is a very good story. The character's voices all 'feel' right, and it catches the reader [me] up in it, and won't let go. If you get the muse again, please continue it!

Ai-ya! I might not be all that sympathetic toward the Tam parental units, but now you've got me petrified for Jayne's dear old mum and for Kaylee's folks.
Arrgh! If this really was the Operative's work, I expect River and Jayne will unite with the rest of the crew to hunt him down and finish him, this time, regardless of his new, 'enlightened' perspective on the perfidy of Parliament.
