Fantastic! Loved this story. Your writing is excellent, your way with the characters is spot on. All the twists and turns had me by surprise. Excellent. I'm so happy I have a snow day I got to do random reading in. I would rate it super high but I don't remember is 1 is super high or 10.
Comments from author:
Thank you for the kind words. I hope you'll give my other stories the once over as well. I've recently started a sequel to my JEEVES & WOOSTER fanfic but I'm not sure when, if ever, I'll be finishing it.

Wonderful job setting this up and keeping the voices in Bujoldian form. I was a bit worried about the ghosts, but you really kept it tight. Good luck.

Review:
Helen sipped her wine demurely and wondered if he was really that nostalgic for the sort of street crime that killed off his father during the War of Vordarian’s Pretendership.
“Now look at it: middle class couples out for a bit of a thrill. People having sordid little assignations….”
”Well, you’d know about that, Uncle!”
”Now, don’t be pert with me, my dear. I’m sure the waiters think you’re my bit of fluff for the evening as it is.”
”How are things in the bit of fluff line, at the moment?”
”None of your business. But I think I’m getting old.”

Great stab at Bujoldian banter! :-)

*standing ovation*

Extremely well done, from beginning to ending. You kept the characters not only true to the original genesis but even gave them some growth that was natural and logical. I will admit that I did worry a bit as this is one of my favorite 'verses(I even named one of my daughters after Miles' mother) but you have not only entertained and dazzled me but have created a story that I will be more than happy to read more than once. Wonderful story, wonderful work and wonderful ending. And may I add, I am very happy to have seen that Ivan not only received a proper accolade but was accorded the proper respect. With a star indeed. *bows in respect*

Review:
Oh, YES! Way to go, Ivan!

And can I say how much I enjoyed these last chapters, with all the wonderful connections you made between the Buffyverse and the Bujold-verse? I especially appreciated Cordelia's prayer being answered by the heavenly agent version of Cordelia Chase, just in time to take an aging Groo and the soul of the then-senior Slayer home, as well as the little Miles touches throughout ("Miles cut off what could have been an entertaining line of drunken theologising..."), and most of all the fact that Helen the Slayer takes so much after her father and grandmother (not to mention her mother, who had a wonderfully direct and destructive touch when it came to a previous attempt to turn wormholes into weapons).

Ivan's final prayer in this chapter, hoping that he has enough of the spirit of devious Miles in him to fight and win the game of supreme beings against the unworthy Ethan Rayne, was just the perfect way to end this saga.

Thank you!

Review of chapter "CHAPTER ELEVEN: BREACHES OF SECURITY" from (Past Donor)wozwashi
Review:
I love the story and that was a great ending.

One quibble...
"Up to the big wooden double doors (a sign of discreet ostentation on timber poor Barrayar) and then through them and into a huge lobby."

Galactics like Betans see wood as wealth, but backwards Barrayar is rich in timber and its use is common though the rarer woods are pretty expensive. Checkout the book 'Barrayar' and see what Cordelia thinks about all this use of timber in furnishings and, dance floors!

Well, I think I was getting the idea off the statements in A CIVIL CAMPAIGN about the rarity of 'earth descended organic matter'. Thank you for the compliments! Please vote for me in the Awards! (I'm being more proactive this year!)

Thank you for finishing this!

I was pleased, tho surprised, to see that Taura is still alive.
Comments from author:
Ah, no. I didn't mean to imply that. I said that Roic still 'holds a torch for her' and you can do that whether the object of your devotion is dead or alive.

I can thing of numerous fan-ficcy things I could do with the Roic/Taura relationship but I think I'd rather let Ms Bujold decide whether she lives or dies. (There's cloning (lots of little mini-Tauras running around the Dendari camp) and some technological handwavium out of MPVK Enterprises labs. Or she could just be dead.)

Yay! I'm so glad you came back to this, and finished it before I even noticed there had been an update! :) Satisfying ending, and a reminder of how this all started, with two more names for the monument.

I was overjoyed when I saw that one of my favourite stories had been updates. Thank you - it was a wonderful and fascinating idea and you've well and truly done it justice.

I must say, however, that the thought of a universe with Ivan and Ethan as the twin deities makes me want to run screaming or put a pillow over my head. *g*
Comments from author:
Thank you for the compliments! I agree it would make a terrible sort of fantasy universe where the good god is less clever than the evil god, especially if it's pronounced enough for mortals to notice it. Please vote for me in the Awards! (I'm being more proactive this year!)
