The next TWO chapters are up on her LJ page! Thats right people, she is back in business with chapter 50 having been written on Feb. 18, 2010 after like a 3 year break. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus ^^
That being said I wonder if she is going to be posting new chapters to her LJ exclusively from now on?
The new chapter is great, by the by, and I for one could not be happier that it was written as it gives me an excuse to reread the whole series from the beginning!

Found the story after browsing through the site, reached the end and didn't want it to just stop there, so I found your LJ and read chapter 49. But I'm still in the whole denial about there being no more chapters.
Carving Out a Future is wonderful! The characters are spot on, and I enjoy reading them as you have written. The whole story captured my attention and I enjoy reading the the Firefly crew's interaction with Xander, and Xander dealing with the whole new 'verse he has woken up in. I would love to read the crew's reaction to Xander's tale and see if some of Xander's past will catch up with him like the Banana Peel. And, and, can I just say that I'm denial girl about this story being over.
Hope you get this review and see that one more person in probably like over 1,000 people would love for this story to continue. Doesn't matter that it hasn't been updated since '07. Stories can always be revisited and givin more life to. Yeah? Hahaha. LOVE this story, so thanks for the 49 chapters.

In case any of you other reviewers missed it, there's one more chapter past this one available on the author's LiveJournal. That hasn't been updated since 2007 either, but at least it's something.
