Review of chapter "The Death of the...." from Mamodo
Review:
You know what I would love? A Sequel of sorts where Dawn (maybe together with Faith) show up and shake everything even more up. I think Bruce would simply LOVE *snicker* to learn that it's not a Xander-thing but common to his friends as well to stand their ground no matter what. And Dawn key-ness should help her travel to him without problems. Plus, I'm pretty sure that she won't be happy when she finds out, that her sister and Willow drove Xan not only away, but really really far away. I see fireworks. ^.^
Never noticed before. But it is slightly odd to me that Ares blessed it too. But, outside of the times he's an enemy he's been neutral in DC, so I guess it makes sense.
Comments from author:
Ares is... himself in DC. Besides, even he has to respect the warrior part of Xander, the one that won't leave someone on the battlefield not to mention the respect for a man fighting with the slayer. In mythology, he was a god of war, not cruelty like many people make him.

A very good tale that knocks the crap out of PC comics. I like the changes you made and hope to see more original writing like this in the future.

The final Joke has been played - and it's on the Joker himself. The Joker learned the lesson - at the cost of his life - that Batman and even Supes *should* have the night they came and harangued Xander, only to get headed off at the pass by not even one hundred pounds of horked-off teenage Slayer, and a fully-protective mode Xander. Think - he moved the Man of Steel as if he were the Man of Styrofoam. (Batman is lucky he hasn't sparred with Xander in protect-the-girls mode; I don't think that WayneCorp has enough medical personnel to repair the body damage that Protector!Xander could inflict.) Artemis' message to Diana is starting to sink in, as are the results of Zatanna's research. (Think "The One".) Naturally, Xander himself has nary a clue.

A little bit of a sense of what happened in that movie when real people went to a 1950s television series world. The people of the DC world you "made" never thought that they were comic book characters or pulp heroes. Overall good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I'm enjoying the new ground... including Xander's adult female friends. It's not clear which one he will end up with, but fun to see the possibilities begin to develop.

Continuing to enjoy this... liking the stat about fewer slayers in the population, but still so many countries and areas to get them from.

I can see that the stress that Xander was under left him punchy enough to not be careful. LOL for the second time around (I think I first read this chapter when you posted it).

I started reading this a long, long time ago now, and lost track of it for... actually, just after chapter two or maybe three, I think. Now I've come back and read it all in one shot, and it was grand. You took comic book awesome and made it reflection of reality real, heavy, dark, beautiful and wonderful. This was an incredible story. It was a little short, and it would have been nice to 'get into' it a bit more, but overall, this is one of the best stories I've read in a long while, if only for the fact that it asks the question "Why are they letting these maniacs out again and again to kill. The JLA and assorted heroes hands them over, but they never get sentenced to death? WTF?" that many people have been asking about comic books for quite a while now. Now I realize some of them can't be killed, or just won't die... and I never did read Crisis, but anyway overall? Yeah. Good stuff. Great, in fact.
