For those curious, why would "D'Hoffryn" care? Several reasons - first off, there ARE differences between parademons (such as Kalibak and Darkseid) and true demons (such as D'Hoffryn and Etrigan). Second, D'Hoffryn is native to the planet (though NOT to the dimension) - that can't be said about Darkseid - or Kalibak. D'Hoffryn - like Batman/Bruce Wayne - sees a lot of HIMSELF in Xander (Xander is proving to be an excellent mirror) - further, he sees the feud (if one exists) between Kalibak and Darkseid as having no business with Earth, and should not have any battles here. That means that someone is *meddling* - and D'Hoffryn doesn't want any of that. While he can't stop the meddling himself (he stated categorically that his own hands are tied), that doesn't apply to the League - or to the Alexions/Council.

Xander's question is a fair one - what would Kalibak want in a Metropolis warehouse? Connected, but important - who in Metropolis would team up with anyone on Apokolips - for any reason? Darkseid and Lex Luthor don't even LIKE each other - however, have Lex Luthor and Kalibak ever met? (For all his xenophobia - which is why Lex hates Darkseid - Lex is more mercenary than true xenophobe; he's worked with BRAINIAC before, and Brainiac is at least as alien as either Superman OR Darkseid, let alone Kalibak. And the question begs, is there another civil war on Apokolips?)

It took me a little while to get this but I wanted to read the whole thing thru and I needed to clear some other things off my plate first. Another great chapter and I can only hope that we won't have to wait so long for the finale. Thanks for the great work!

Great battle, thanks for the update. I hope to see the story shift back to a Xander/Diana central story like the beginning and hope to see more of Xander's boost from the wedding.

“I’ve lived in London most of my life, my Queen, but I’ve never seen fog that glowed like that,” the Watcher replied, his accent betraying his tweed origin.
Would like to point out the current London fog is just like the fog in any other place. With the end of the use of coal heating popular during Victorian times came the end of the infamous Victorian London Fog. Without the air pollution from the burning of coal, the fog is not capable of being as bad as it was back then unless it got some help from Hollywood special effects.
"Hey, the fog's gone," he screamed.
Would like to point out that "yelled" would make more sense since screaming is associated with mental states like terror or anger. Since he likely wouldn't be angry or scared of the fog going away, saying that he yelled would make more sense

Great joy it gives me to see A new chapter with Willow and her lover to be Buffy and Xander kicked all kinds of ass Them and the slayers fighting demons in mass
Clark and the Bat, stood their ground Even with demons and magic all around Their true character, you did capture While reading it, I was close to rapture
And now this review must end For I am not very good at this rhyming trend Eagerly the next chapter I do await Hoping it comes at less of a wait
