Thanks for your scholarly bio/synopsis of the original "Saint"
I had been familiar with the 1960's variety, but didn't realize
how close in arch-type the Saint was to Maurice Le Blanc's Lupin
(First story collection was published in 1908, I believe and
after WW2 commenced on the continent became more of
a private investigator and righter of wrongs.)

Interesting Fic. I'm not all that familiar with the Saint, other than sitting through the recent movie about 15 times with my little sister who adored it. Was delighted by the appearance of Dru and her role in the war, as well as the misidentification of the Saint and Spike. All in all, an entertaining, well crafted fic. It ties in nicely with 'Are you now or have you ever been' as well, one of my favorite AtS episodes. Excellent.

Liked Hyperion very much. I have read most but not all of Leslie Charteris' Saint books since I first discovered them, and I thought you wrote him very much in character. I also loathed the Val Kilmer movie.

You seem to have got Spike and Dru properly too.

Thanks, please write more.

Oh, nifty. I like the idea of Dru (and Spike) getting a bit more focus in the crossovers. I also like the whole secret agenty aspect of the Saint (liked the movie, hadn't realized it was based on an older series). Thank you for this story.
