This is a great series!

Please do more of them.
Comments from author:
I hope to eventually, but due to work pressuree etc. am writing very little fanfic at present. Hopefully it'll happen eventually.

I always enjoy your small fics--even when I selfishly don't remember to review. I thought your lead-ups to the father reveal were perfect. Does it make Simon keep a closer eye on his son after 1966. 'Cause, I'm guessing that he's figured out Giles didn't end up a grocer.

That was very cool. A "real father" story cross-over mixed with some time-travel/time communication theories ala Quantum Leap and Frequency. I like also the twist that now Roger Moore's "The Saint" can be very sure that certain supernatural things are quite real -- and take precautions -- or at least take a second look at some musty books and scrolls when things get weird and they just happen to be "handy."

Thanks for sharing.

Another nice little story. Very cool idea of Giles being Simon's son. I hope eventually there will be more Saint/Buffy stories.

Fascinating story, but I've read it twice and can't figure out how Simon figured out that "the man" was his son, Rupert. Obviously, Simon is more perceptive than I.

Thanks for writing! ~"~
Comments from author:
I was possibly being a little too subtle with the clues.

Right at the start Simon is thinking about being unable to marry and have children because of the danger to Pat, and that Tom had married her at "a difficult time." The implication was that she was about to have Simon's child, and Tom married her to save her from the very real (in 1953-4) problems of being an unmarried mother.

Later he learn's Giles' age in 1966, and very near the end that his name is Giles. And of course he knows Tom's surname, so once Dawn mentions it he knows what's happening.

Nice addition to the series. I'm wondering if Simon is still alive in 200X, and if they look him up.
Comments from author:
If he's alive in 2005 (or whenever) the original written version of The Saint is something like a hundred years old; he was in his twenties in 1928, when the first story was published.

Of course I could get around this by unnaturally prolonging his life somehow, but I've just eliminated Highlander immortality as a possibility - they can't have kids - and I've used magic to explain Modesty Blaise, and I really don't want to repeat myself.

I'll see what I can come up with.
