Review of chapter "VI and Epilogue" from (Current Donor)Listener
Review:
A well paced, well plotted, enjoyable story.

Somehow I found it a bit hard to believe that, after everything they did to him, Xander was that interested in finding his parents. Especially his father, who you said early on it seemed as though he didn't like.

I've never watched Lois and Clark, but that didn't impact my enjoyment of the story.
Comments from author:
I've never been a big fan of the "Xander was horribly abused" theory, there isn't as much evidence for it as some fanfic claims. They were obviously a family with a drinking problem, but it mostly seemed to arise at family gatherings, not in everyday life. Xander's defining quality seems to be loyalty, provided they didn't actually do anything to make him hate both of them I think he'd want to be sure they were OK.

Review:
An interesting contrast of approaches, one group kills all the vampires they encounter, and one - Superman who will never kill anything. A real conundrum and I'm glad it was taken out of Superman's hands. I like how you had a reason why Superman could not clean up all the vampires around the world. That does need to be explained in a story like this.
Comments from author:
It's something that always bugs me in the Halloween stories where people end up with super-powers.

Review:
Very interesting story. I especially liked the inclusion of Andrew and his Star Wars fixation, and Lex Luthor's clone as a vampire. One thing bugged me, though, and that's that you didn't give the names, or even genders, of Lois and Clark's kids. That really threw me out of the story.

Review:
I adored this! Great combination of plot and character threads from both BtVS/AtS (especially the A.I. gang's Vegas trip in season 4) and "Lois & Clark" (and I'm so glad to be reminded of how much I loved that show, and of the possibility of continuing their too-brief adventures together as a married couple -- in terms of the televised series, I mean -- in the fanfic universe). Excellent work.

Oh, and I especially adored the Xander and Andrew as fan-boys bits and the idea of Lois Lane's "Wanda Detroit" novel becoming a popular movie. Plus, Lois and Clark so SUCCESSFULLY playing the part of avid movie buffs ...! So fun.
Comments from author:
I'm going to be posting the first few parts of a Lois and Clark / Highlander / Batman crossover fairly soon - it's another WIP and I have no idea how quickly I'll get the whole thing written, I'm afraid, but I might as well get the parts I've already written on line.

Review:
Yet another excellent story. I love the matter-of-fact way your write of the totally fantastic and the logic of your plotting. And your characterization of all the players was once again spot-on. I would have liked to see how Superman would have taken care of Vamp Lex. Imprison him in a cave on the moon? Chain him to the bottom of the Marianas Trench? I look forward to your next gem.

Review:
Great story (as usual). I'm a bit surprised there was no hint that Xander made the Clark/Superman connection, but I guess even "the One Who Sees" can fall prey to Metropolis Syndrome (a specialized variant of Sunnydale Syndrome). So Metropolis is close to Cleveland, huh? Can we expect a sequel?

Review:
Good one, but there's a bit of the plot that I'm not clear on. You imply toward the end that Xander knew what was really going on, and where his parents were all along. But for that to be the case he'd have to be playing Lois and Clark from the beginning, and even keeping up the act while alone in his motel room in Smallville.
Comments from author:
No - he knew that something was wrong and where they were when Lois and Clark told him. He assumed that it'd be something he could handle on his own, or at worse with their help, and didn't really suspect supernatural involvement until he saw the necro-tempered glass and realised what it was.

Review:
Stuck in the quicksand of an ethical dilemma. I don't remember Superman having much vampire trouble--do I just misremember, or did you decide it's just the kind of information he'd know?
Comments from author:
He's seen Lex, and little things like a non-beating heart tend to stand out when you're using super-senses.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from feynstrom
Review:
Really nice story and I like the pacing.
Though, one minor nitpick. With Clark and Lois pondering Xander's scars why does neither think of gang violence? It seems a kinda obvious idea.
Comments from author:
Because they don't? Best answer really I can give you - to be honest, I didn't think of putting that particular red herring in, and I'd prefer not to change it now.
