This is so very well written. Love the characterizations of the Serenity crew, and poor Spike. I like that he's pretending to be cowed, but secretly he's still mostly Spike. Very devious of the Alliance to subtly subvert the perception of the Browncoats verses the Purplebellies. Very sneaky.

If you re-arrange the letters in Legan, you would get Angel. I am totally hoping that is true. Legan is Angel, right? I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Very cool, so far. I hope you keep going with this. I'm interested to figure out who Angel/Legan is working with and how he got his information about Spike. Is there anyone else from the olf group still wandering around? Who was the brunette? And is Chrysalis a part of Angel's organization?

Can't wait to see how River will react to Spike, and how he'll react to her. I can see where she might remind him of Drusilla a little so I can't wait to see how you decide to write their relationship. Whatever it may be.
