Great story, I love all the little winks and gueststars from other universes, even though I'm sure I missed over half of them. I especially loved the doctor who mentions (the doctor as a friend of Giles, and Sarah Jane). I hope you'll update soon!

Boy you really hate Dumbledore don't you? (lol) The man had faults obviously, being shortsighted for one, keeping secrets another, and treating certain individuals like pawns in a chessboard but to call him a Dark Lord may be just a tad overstated. He made mistakes like any man would and freely admittedly those mistakes. Albus thought what he was doing was for the best at the time. Sometimes in life we have to work with what we have, no more no less.

Well, to be completely accurate and precise, I *despise* Albus 'Too Many Names' Dumbledore, and would enjoy seeing him slowly lowered into a pool of piranhas while sitting back and watching, so long as a cold beer tap and an assortment of my favorite snack food to munch on were available.

I say that because I simply cannot believe that *anyone* with any real degree of concern or regard for a child - let alone a fifteen month old toddler - would treat them in any manner similar to that described in the first story, let alone then continue to neglect and not check on such a child for the next nine and a half years.

Adding in the way Dumbledore then treated Harry (and the rest of the student body) for the next seven years while he attended Hogwarts, I cannot plausibly believe that anyone other than a sociopath or a megalomaniacal monster would behave in such a manner.

Consider what the repercussions would be if you attempted to treat an orphan in the real world in the same manner as Dumbledore treated Harry - you would be charged with both physical and mental abuse, endangerment, abuse of due process, fraud and a host of other charges which would result in your spending years in either a prison or a mental institution.

There is absolutely *no* rational explanation for Dumbledore's behavior, and if I did learn of such a situation occurring in real life - especially of it were occurring to a relative - I know that I (as well as several other members of my family) would sorely tempted to rectify the situation with a shovel, so that I could later use such a tool to bury the remains after beating such a monster to their well-deserved death.

NO ONE, no matter how 'short-sighted' they might be, makes 'mistakes' of such magnitude and with such recurring frequency as displayed in this series without some degree of malice.

This is BRILLIANT. Took me a while to see if it would pan out well, but that's mostly because of seeing too many fairly convoluted plots that quickly spiral into the utterly ridiculous. Yours, on the other hand, keeps me hooked, and it's just convoluted and confusing enough to be unpredictable, rather than unbelievable. And while I haven't watched all the shows you've pulled characters in from, it's easy to get a sense of them without knowing their canon. Just enough characterisation to make them fit, without spending half a chapter detailing their personal back story, motivations and how they ended up as part of the extended Scooby family. I adore this story, and your writing style. More please!

I'm so glad to see you update this and, from the comments, that you've discovered a new inspiration for the story. I've just finished reading it again from the start and rediscovered why it's one of my favourites.

DD didn't get nearly everything he deserved, but then again, the human body would probably be destroyed long before he received his just due. ;-)

And yes, my muse wasn't pleased with the original plotline, but she's much happier with the new one.
