Review of chapter "A Show Unlike Any Other" from
CardolanReview:
Just a suggestion for another story. Since this seems to be set early in the Angel series you could do a few time-jumps:
1) Count finds out Winifred Burkle vanished (flashback) then when she returns he visits the hotel to talk to her about the numbers and learns who's to blame for her disappearance.
2) The theater goes well and by the time Angel takes over W&H they've expanded into a TV studio like in "Muppets Tonight".
3) And so on and on.
I grew up on reruns of "The Muppet Show" and watched "Muppets Tonight" with my big sister and this series has brought me a lot of happy flashbacks to my childhood. For that I salute you!

Found this through Demona's award nominees. Have to say, I greatly enjoyed this statement: Animal had grinned before saying it was ‘wild’.

a fine story , if slightly disturbing
for me the worst was the last couple of chapters, the implications of horror so terrible that it affected wes and lockly to the point of sickness seemed wrong somehow. Worse (for ,me) was the last one when it refeanced a muppet with purple skin, who looked like the count.
I loved tjhe muppet show and now I have to look up who (or what) that one is.
Beyond this, the idea of the muppets being in the same reality as demons and vamps really works. OIt is ovious that they are somehow possessed puppets, and are only not evil by chance.
In closing let me just say
ANAMAL WANT MORE
Comments from author:
You have to factor in the disconnect - Muppets look like they should be (and in the real world they are) harmless, cute puppets. In this setting... not so much. The human mind rebels.
They have a long history of using muppets that look very similar to others in base shape - my guess has always been that those were supposed to be a new _____ puppet that just didn't turn out quite right )or maybe can become a new _____ with a few minutes work in a back room.
Delighted that you enjoyed.

Hooray! Cordelia will be a very special guest at the New Muppet Theatre. Her career will skyrocket, if only she doesn't get into a brawl with Ms. Piggy, or get schmoozed by Gonzo, or kidnapped off to the dungeon by Sweetums :)
Comments from author:
Not in the near future, at any rate.
Are you picturing this possible brawl backstage, or in front of the audience? In front of people might actually draw some offers her way (though it would be questionable if she would accept those offers...)

That's a first... a Muppet show from the audience perspective. It actually raised the show a couple notches for me. heh

This was a wonderful finish to the Muppet Contracts.
In sadder news, fior those readers unaware, Jim Henson's partner in the creation of the Muppets has passed on.
For a bit more detail and another excellent (if less macabre) display of the Muppet Theater, check out Patrick Moore's *Cynic & Violence* at Outpost Daria. I won't leave a link as that's a bit close to spamming for my taste, but if you can work a search engine, you'll find it.
Thanks.

Very pleasant to read. You took an idea that's too crazy for most and made a very good story out of it. You took your time to get grammar and spelling right, and it shows: It's an easy read. It doesn't hurt the eyes, it flow in the mind, it paints a picture thats bigger than just the written word.
I'd like to say thanks. Thanks for the story and an extra thanks for the quality.
Comments from author:
You are very welcome, thank you for the kind words.
I refuse to spend my time on a story that has such awful spelling, grammar and formatting that it makes my eyes hurt, so I assume that other people will also prefer a story that has good spelling, grammar, and formatting. (They're called paragraphs. They are covered in English class from a very early age.)
I always hope that my writing is of good quality. The unusual-ness of certain crossovers helps them stand out, but I want to be more than 'that person who writes insane crossovers' - I want them to be insane and well written : )

All I'm going to say for now is that I want my current Work-in-Progress list to get smaller. This means finishing existing projects before starting new ones .

What's the point of being able to buy thins online if you can't buy what you really want?
It was a great show - I have fond memories of watching it when I was younger.
I am delighted that you've enjoyed the ride.

I like your description of the ballet act - just re-watched The Fifth Element yesterday, it sounds a bit like the Diva's act in that.
Comments from author:
Her act in 5th Element - the mixing of the classical and something much faster paced was very memorable and yes, it was part of the inspiration for that dance number.
