Woah. Buffy is some kind of twisted, and by giving me the creeps you've secured yourself a permanent spot in my head in my 'Vault of Stories to Remember'. Keep 'em coming.

I don't know how I missed this when you posted it, but wow! I LOVE this idea and your execution of it. I really wish it were a longer, chaptered fic, but you do oneshots so well. I guess I'll just have to hope for a fic in the same universe someday. The idea of an immortal, unaging Buffy as Mal's mother is amazing. I understand your characterization of her, falling into a dream of a normal life for a little while, and then running when it gets to be too boring fits Buffy perfectly, although the idea of just leaving children behind makes me a little sad for her. I don't have children of my own, but a mother just leaving her children like that is so wrong. Still, it does suit how Buffy can be in her worst moments, and I think she'd do it. Mal got lucky.
I'd love to see a reunion between them, although I think somehow that Mal would handle it very, very badly. Moreso when he realizes she just abandoned him, and yet even worse, would have abandoned him as a child if his father hadn't died. Still, I'd love to see it someday!

*grins* I loved it!!! I really hated Saffron, so I'm definitely glad to see her get what she deserves. Don't think I've ever seen anything that has Buffy as Mal's mom though. It's an interesting twist and I seriously liked it. I had to re-read that section a couple times though, just to make sure I was reading what I thought I was. Oh, and wasn't Zabuto the name of Kendra's Watcher? I'm guessing that that's who the guy in your story was descended from? Anyway, definitely liked this one! Well, I'm off to read more BtvSxFirefly stories! *waves* Laterz!

Excellent! I've never read a "Buffy is Mal's mom" crossover before, but you set this up beautifully, and I love your description of Buffy's dilemma, being forever twenty-something and maybe never having had to really grow into maturity, but still darn sure going to pay back Saffron for messing with her boy!
