*sobs* They got to all say goodbye *sniffle*. And Dick and Babs *wet sniffle*. This is totally a break out the tissues happy ending. Lovely. A wonderful fic and a great exploration of all the characters involved. Excellent writing! ~Ves

*sniffles* Artful. Excellent vehicle for what needed to happen with Giles and the history and tradition make it a truly gifted bit of storytelling. ~Ves

Review of chapter "A Bat and a Bird" from (Past Donor)Vesica
Review:
Three cheers for Babs getting a talking to. Woot for Alfred, sandwich making god. And a dreamy wibble and sigh for Giles making it into this one. I do so love Giles...Very balanced fic here. You have a lot going on in a lot of different people's heads but it reads easily, good flow and easy to flow plot threads. Not an easy thing to do. ~Ves

Review of chapter "Secrets Exposed" from (Past Donor)Vesica
Review:
That's new perspective on Bruce and Babs - but uncannily accurate. They are both extremely black and white whereas most of the Buffy characters exist somewhere in the gray between. Excellent character interactions here - with everyone. Poor Willow - she of all characters would feel the weight of her past sins very deeply. ~Ves

Review of chapter "Touring the Cave" from (Past Donor)Vesica
Review:
Hallelujah, the boy realizes he's being an ass. They so rarely do - realize, not be an ass - they are quite good at being asses. *growl* Anyway, Willow's take on Gotham baddies struck me as really right for her. And logical - one-dimensional, non-insane bad guys are so much easier to fight. As for the backstory, with Willow and with Dick and Babs - ouch. And double ouch. :( ~Ves

Review of chapter "Arrival" from (Past Donor)Vesica
Review:
The crack about the Lazurus pits made me chuckle. I always thought that was really weird but good to know someone else does too. I am not an expert on Barbara but this is resonating with my impression of how she would handle these circumstances. And I applaud your take on Batman and Nightwing - yep, no way in hell those two would just give up their identities to a stranger, even a stranger here to save the day. Lovely installment. ~Ves

Review of chapter "Family Conversations" from (Past Donor)Vesica
Review:
It has to be said I am not a huge fan of Buffy, as a character. However, I'd like to think that my enjoyment of seeing the Scoobies sans Buffy is deeper than that. I am quite found of post-series fics and seeing what happened with them. This chapter makes sense and is very true to how the Scoobies would handle things. Still captivated. ~Ves

The plot thickens. Love this exploration of that episode of Buffy. A lot of complexity there that was never dealt with. ~Ves

Review of chapter "The Girl in the Mirror" from (Past Donor)Vesica
Review:
Captivating start. I am not totally up on Batman canon but I do remember some tension between Dick and Barbara. Poor darlings. I am afriad they are as close as I come to an OTP and it pains me to see them so at each other's throats. One chapter and I'm hooked. ~Ves, who seems to be your new fangirl *blush*
Comments from author:
I'm always amazed when I find someone loves my stuff enough to actively keep reading... and reading... and reading. And then take the time to comment! Thank you, lots. :)
(And I don't mind fangirls so long as you don't degenerate into fangirl speak and start dropping things like grammar, spelling, and coherency--which I am sure you won't!)

Lovely conclusion to a truly unique fic. Loved the characterizations throughout, and it was nice to have some resolution for Willow on all fronts. I've been impressed from start to finish, and eagerly look forward to reading what ever your muse comes up with next.

I've just read the whole thing in one sitting. I look forward to reading more - I was an avid watcher of Batman TAS back when I was in high school, and you've managed wonderful characterizations after all this time! Nightwing always was my favourite... Oh, and a nitpicky thing - do you mean St. Paul's, in your last chapter? St. Paul's was hit by a bomb during the Blitz, which never exploded, a miracle some thought. Though most of the area around the church was destroyed in the 1941 string of nighttime bombings, St. Paul's remained. I'm familiar with several St. Peter's in the London area, but none have the same tradition behind them. I really do like this piece, though, nitpicky Londoner in me aside! I can't wait for more.

What a touching scene with Giles in the cathedral. It truly is a magnificent sight and awe inspiring inside. I loved the moment of rememberance for the fallen ones, and it kept well in line with the rest of the chapter. Past, present and learing to move on. Nicely done.
