Review of chapter "Chapter One" from DarthTenebrus
Review:
All gave some. ...

Some gave All.

After reading this, I had to say it. Plus the quote reminds me of the Spartan memorial plaque at Thermopylae.

"Go tell the Spartans, Passerby, that Here, by Spartan Law, we lie."

Another similar translation would be "you who pass by this place, go tell the Spartans that we remain here in obedience to our orders...."
Comments from author:
Thank-you...two reviews for this rather old story in one day!

I think it was about at this time that I started to really get a handle on the fic writing gig.

Cheers,
D.

Thank you so much for making me weep. Oddly enough, it was just what I needed, as I was thinking about some losses of my own. You are an exceptional writer, as I think I've said before. I appreciate your sharing a portion of your soul with us.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from maxthehobbit
Review:
I consider you one of the best comedy writers ever, but with this series you've obviously shown that you can do serious writing as well.
Outstanding series.
Comments from author:
Oh yes, this little series was one of those 'turning points' when people started to think you're doing something right.

Cheers,
D.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from unicornzvi
Review:
Nice story, no where near the quality of the previos one in this series bu then that isn't really saying much. I'd be intrested to read more in this universe but I'd note that people are typically very carful to avoid duplicating memorials to avoid a direct comparison between the heroics of two different groups.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
This story is the perfect capstone to "Dulce et Decorum" and "Shines the Name". Most excellently done!

Oh, and I LOVE the memorial!
Comments from author:
Thank-you for saying so.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Naitch
Review:
I ususally never read one-shots, but something about this one caught my eye. I ended up reading all three in quick sucession, and I must say they were excellently written, well-plotted, and heart-rendering stories. I'd love to read more, too, if any more ideas for this 'vers ever comes up. Great job.
Comments from author:
Thank-you for your lind review.

I've no plans on writting anymore in this 'reality', but Maj. McCready and his team will turn up in my usual 'Will & Ken' reality. As will Jack and Sam.

All the best,
Dave T.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Vld
Review:
I liked that. I wonder how Jack would have reacted to "I died to save her, yet I survive her". And Jack as prez and Buff as First Lady? Have you lost your mind? That sure would change from the seriousness of these last three! Oh well, comedy is always good!!!
Comments from author:
The 'Vote O'Neill!' idea is really just something that sprang to mind as I wrote the last line of the fic. I'd really like some one else to do that one...but you never know?

Thanks and all the best,
Dave T.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from CPTSkip
Review:
Excellent finish to the Dawn trilogy. Yet more teary eyes but a wonderful story with excellent characterizations. I would love to read your President Jack O'Neill story, especially with Buffy as his First Lady. Both Willow *the first Secretary of Magic?* and Xander would definitely freak. Lol!
Comments from author:
Unfortunately I never got to see most of the 'West Wing', and I've only seen a few episodes of 'Commander in Chief' (Which I like but still think of as 'West Wing Lite'). I really don't feel I know enough about US politics to write a good Fic.

Thank-you for your review.
All the best,
Dave T.

very enjoyable story looking forward to more of your work.
Comments from author:
Thanks, there's more struff on my page. The early stories are a bit iffy but I get better (I like to think). I think I'll do some more SG1 xover's.

All the best,

I have to say I've been most moved by peoples reactions to these three fics.

Once again Thank-you.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from fastpilot
Review:
It's very nice, but, Buffy and Jack at 1600 Penn. Ave.?

Yuck.

And history would get so boring (Who'd cross'em?)!

Yours, fastpilot

PS. And I wanted to add, I wondered this morning if anyone I ran into would make a D-Day reference. I feared not. Thank you.
Comments from author:
There's always some one who'd try!

D-Day should be a national holiday!

All the best,
Dave T.
