*whistles* That trio sound like nasty pieces of work. I really enjoyed this chapter and I'm glad to see that you're continuing this, it's a great story.
I'll be surprised if Jack doesn't check out Oz's van in the morning, just to see if the trio of vamps are locked in the cage.
Oz listens to Wicked? Cool. Owned the CD for six months, never heard it, but the book is awesome. I'm surprised Jack didn't connect between Oz and 'Oz' ;)
Wart is cool. I look forward to continued revelations about his species and his sanity ;)
Oz is cool.
Great story :D

This is a really lovely story. I like the look inside Jon's head (which is a fairly scary place if he's thinking of putting down three people he think are human even if they are vicious), and the look at Oz from the outside. Wart is also a wonderful character and I'm not sure if I'd like to see more about his past or just have him be who he is with no explanation. Regardless, I hope you continue this story.

It is marked complete, but it doesn't feel that way, especially in comparison to most of your work. Your stuff generally has a definite ending while this feels more like a cliffhanger. Maybe I'm just missing something.

Sorry about that. It was supposed to be a one chapter story that refused to stay finished. I never got around to fixing the 'complete/incomplete' choice. IT's fixed now.
Funny, to think each has a huge secret & each thinks the other is somewhat 'normal'... and any hint of 'military' ties will make Oz paranoid & thinking "Initiative" while some weird events might make Jack think "Goa'uld" (flashing yellow eyes?) that kind of thing--- The complete non-mention of the Jack clone after that ep is really weird, bad continuity... it's the same with Cassie she just never appears again..I think there's maybe a mention once by Carter that Cassie's with her? Jack is never seen again... The SGC were fools to force Jack into being a 'real' teenager instead of just giving him a rank in the AF & a place on an SG team--

Yes, the writers were cruel to ignore Mini-Jack, but that just makes him more available to us!

Ah! I'm really enjoying Wart's contribution to this story, and I can't wait to see how and when Jack will finally understand what Wart meant about Oz going looking for a challenge and for 'target practice' in the middle of the night with no visible weapons or backup.
A pleasure to read another chapter in this story, as always.
