The request and setup are nice, b ut I'm missing the significance of the date.

In Buffyverse, all the bad things happen on Tuesday. As in,
“Dawn’s in trouble, it must be Tuesday.”
An indirect reference to the fact that the show aired on Tuesday during its initial run.
As for the 13th, I shouldn’t need to explain that.
