Lovely, you were right about the puppies-broken-legs thing but in a good way (however that may sound :D )
It brought a tear in my eye. I only found lately SG-1 Buffy xovers with Danies as a family figure but I must admit that I rather like the idea. It somehow fits nicely.

Yeah, that says it all, really.
I mean, not only do you come up with a very interesting explanation of how DANIEL could be Buffy's father despite the closeness of their ages- given Daniel's ability to connect with people it certainly doesn't seem impossible to assume he could have had a physical relationship at that age, particularly under the circumstances you describe here-, but you then go on to write a VERY moving meeting between Daniel and Dawn?
INCREDIBLE, to say the least.
And as for that comment Spike made at the end, about how Daniel's thus DAWN'S father as well...

I have to wonder how he'll react when he learns THAT particular bombshell...

It does stand on it's own nicely. I like that it's not to mushy even though it is dealing with a tears worthy idea.

I usually don't like to read sad stories without an happy ending, but I must say that this was a wonderful story, well worth to read.

I should not read fanfiction at 2 in the morning. I was actually crying through this one. Sad, I know. Anyhow, fantastic work. I'll have to read the second story when I have time. Thanks for a great parentage story--and I really mean that!

Very interesting story. It was sad, but I loved Dawn & Daniel comforting each other in the cemetery. It was very sweet.

I'm really enjoying the interaction between Dawn and Daniel, but I know you're still probably agonizing on when you have to throw in the "Buffy is now alive," part.

So, just more filler Dawn & Daniel interaction, or perhaps actually introduce Dawn to Cassie? Or more Jack, he's always fun.
