Just a few of the typos I noticed, in case you have time to fiddle with them:

‘...then she'll never some magic protection’ [‘never’ should be ‘need’, probably?]

‘A huge [what? word missing here] sat in the middle of its forehead...’

‘...elegant dress could be seen of [the] sitting figure.’ [missing definite article there]

“I will be most... unpleased," [is ‘unpleased’ instead of the more grammatical ‘displeased’ intentional, for effect?]

Nice work on the update you posted, you have about two mistakes though. I hope to read more very soon.

This is an interesting and fun setup. I especially enjoy seeing a savvy Faith. The banter is funny. Good job so far.

Never apologize for your kids taking your time. They come first. I am in awe of anyone with two children who is disciplined enough to keep posting. I don't even have that excuse and I can't keep up.

That said, I also really like your story. I am looking forward to reading more whenever you have time to post! little quibbles about rental cars vs work trucks, but minor.

That's a good question, with a not-so-easy answer. I've been toying with that thought. Xander, though by all right deserves to have his eye back, it's a part of his personality and history. It's a reminder of what he has been through and the people he lost. On the flipside, he's been living with a disability that affects his everyday life. He's coped with it, but doesn't mean that he likes it. I can't really answer that one as I haven't decided, but I'm not going to commit one way or another. Let's see where the fic leads from here:)
