Hum, so your willow is pretty weak if she can't take care of a baby slayer like faith. Otherwise, maybe she just do not want to. Oh, and i am quite disappointed that faith manipulates willow so easily.
Comments from author:
Hmmm... there is no indication what-so-ever in this story that Willow would have a reason to "take care of" Faith. And, oddly enough, in this AU Faith is the ONLY slayer - if she has survived this long as THE slayer (5+ years) she certainly isn't weak.
One of WIllow's "weaknesses" (if we want to call it that) is that she is a "nice" person. She's had her moment of power-induced insanity and now she feels sorry for whatever she's done... and Faith, like all successful slayers, is going to be able to spot her weakness and be able to exploit it. Willow isn't going to fight her, especially when she feels guilty.
Faith isn't evil in this story -- just very pragmatic and tough. If her job is to deal with "evil" a repentant Willow isn't going to get much sympathy from her.
Hi, I'm enjoying the story very much and am looking forward to more updates ! I know you probably have the whole story mapped out already, however can I just say how cool it is to have a major BTVS character as a wheelchair user :) (I know, I know, it'd be a lot less "cool" if Buffy was a real person...) I haven't come across it before in Fanfic, and you are doing it very well. I know Spike used a crappy old hospital chair for a period of time in Season 2, however this serves to illustrate a problem I see about the depiction of people with disabilities within the media as a whole... he got better... most main characters on TV seem to get better remarkably quickly... you've gotta love fiction :) . I'm looking forward to seeing Buffy kick some collective demon or watcher butt from a seated position in the near future :)
Thanks !
Davros
PS. Although I have never gotten into any fights (except with my little sister in my younger, more formative years) let me know if you need any help with some wheelchair action scenes... Forget all the "spin kicks" and "crushing peoples necks between subtle thigh's" scenes you might have had planned, they're very passe... There's nothing better than using an armrest as a club/throwing axe or impaling someone though the eye with a spoke... It'd be revolutionary... trust me :)

Well... hopefully I won't mess it up :). And I might just take you up on that help offer. This is really foreign territory for me. Imagination can only take you so far...
As far as the getting better by the end... I was briefly tempted (If she has "slayer healing" what does that mean? How much CAN she heal from such a serious injury?.) but it doesn't feel right. If I define her character based on years in a wheelchair... and then take that away... I lose the character I'm trying to build. (If that even makes sense.)
The idea of Buffy with a permanent disability isn't new, though it is a bit rare. There's a "blind Buffy" fic currently underway on fanfiction.net; there's a complete "Buffy is mute" story (It's a Buffy/Faith story Silent Voices by Memet. -- http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2135063/1/). There is a Buffy in a wheelchair story here: http://www.dazzled.com/handchaos/buffy/demon/flying.html but she isn't a slayer -- Willow gets called instead. It needs some work but it can claim to be the first.

C'mon, the way Buffyverse demons behave the only real answer to them is violence. If the Coven just stays under the radar and plays things all subtle, not even using the force the Watcher's Council uses then they're worse than the Council.

Intriguing... there's a whole new level of back story and potential relationships opened up in this part. Fascinating to see Gwendolyn Post as Faith's Watcher - logically, having that kind of control over the Slayer might be enough to stop her from going all power mad and after the Glove.
On a side note, really enjoying Dawn and Buffy's relationship here - it's a lot more equal and sisterly than we're used to and that's just fun. Thanks for all the hard work.
Comments from author:
The moment I realized the story needed a little Faith to be more than basic shipper fluff... Gwendolyn Post popped into my head as the perfect Watcher foil for her.
Faith would have walked all over an early Wesley and I think Quentin Travers would have been afraid of giving her to Giles given his "Ripper" background (assuming the Council knew about that). Ripper would have understood Faith a little too well IMHO (if he'd gotten her first). (The Giles-Buffy thing seemed almost like a set-up. Almost as if the Council was hoping they would get each other killed.)
As for Buffy and Dawn -- I can't imagine Buffy surviving this situation without heavy family support (from her mother and sister anyway).

I like what I have read of this story so far. I noticed that you said that there was No FemSlash, but you say it is a B/W romance. Is that W Willow or someone else?

Thanks for the comments.
No, it's Buffy/Willow. Femslash or not? I guess that depends on your definition of the term. If you mean any f/f relationship other than friendship (which seems to be the Wikipedia definition) then this (and apparently most of my other stories) is femslash.
If we go by the 'femslash' category here on TTH where it says "Two (or more) female characters engage in a sexual activity." then no, it isn't femslash because... I don't write sex scenes... not yet anyway.
Very enjoyable as usual, acs. I particularly like the little touches both of Buffy's work enviroment, and the details of the spell workings in the second chapter. Absorbing, and plausible.

Thanks for the comments :-).
This, and my last few stories seem to be going more in that direction -- details about the environment and how the characters fit into it. Makes writing action scenes take longer but otherwise it seems to work out.
