Nice story. The only problem that I see with it is that it's hard to tell who is thinking and talking. The POV isn't clear in all places. Hope to see more.

Very good story. Xan and George.... First evil guarding the sword pretending to first be Jesse and now Darla... Can't wait for the next thrilling installment.

I always hated the first evil in the Buffy-verse, simply because it was to damn powerful. Able know just about anything, take on forms of the dead, and boy were there a lot of them in the Buffy-verse, and play mind games with people. All while being basicaly invicible and intangable. Nothing kept it out and nothing could harm it.. frankly if it was a little smarter it could driven almost anyone insane by Singing 'This is the song that never ends' or something non stop. Various black ops interogaton/toture leaks have proven sleep deprivation and such will get to some one eventualy.
So the Buffy-verse all big on ballance.. even have ballance Demons, have this big bad unstopable first evil.. but absolutely no sign of 'first good'. NO angelic helper, no word of god comming down to fight the good fight. Just some ancient medalian that a person can explode their soul, a sin by most religions, to do a lot of damage and some ancient slayer scyth weapon. A creation of demonic using people, still not 'good and holy beings'. Buffy-verse is filled with demons and well meaning demons and humans. At no point is there a truely holy good guy helping out and that kind of anoyed me.
Given the Slayer is only slightly stronger, faster and skilled than the average human. At about master Vampire Levels, which have been proven to be some the weakest demons in the Buffy-verse. Why is it ballanced for her to fighting something without a body to even slay like the first evil?

I didn't know what to expect with this. All I saw Xander and George as a pair, and thought "that sounds really fun!" so I decided to read it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was better than I anticipated! I like how Xander's world is tied in with Georges, and the reasons behind it are plausible and make sense to me. Though I wonder what a vampire would do with a captured reaper? Would the blood have any effect, being from a dead body? Besides that, I like how Tara has been introduced and gets to at least see one of her old friends. Very interesting story.
