However, I think you have the Illyria/Fred characterizations mixed up. Doesn't Illyria act warmer when assuming the shell's form rather than the other way around??

as much as I hate being the oddball out. While Fred probably did say ya'll, etc. Illyria did not. She was more like Data from Star Trek in the way she talked.

That was intentional. Actually, when she first approached Thor and the others, she was in her Human form, and should have been speaking with Fred's voice, but spoke as Illyria instead. In For Every Ending, I worked at blurring the lines between Fred and Illyria. The accent and personality would come and go based on emotional state. This bit, having form and personality seemingly transposed, is just a continuation of that.

As with the rest of your stories that I've read, this was brilliantly done. I love Fred's interactions with other characters, she always creates such chaos, and I can imagine O'Neill's attempts to explain exactly what is going on to Jacob/Selmak and Thor. *snicker*
