A New Heart focuses primarily on Dan and Buffy but involves characters from Buffy, Angel and One Tree Hill.
Forgiven is a story set after chapter 34 of A New Heart. Forgiven focuses on Giles and Lorne. Forgiven is a memorial to Andy Hallett.
You don't have to read A New Heart to follow Forgiven, but it helps.
